Clearly he is not leading this country in an effective manner. He purposefully trolls a huge portion of the US population. He has a rotating door of appointees. Jim freaking Mattis quit on Trump. It’s not alarming to you because you support his side. But being divide, petulant, and crass is a bad look for any leader. FTR, one of my biggest complaints was Obama reaching across the aisle and taking shots at the right. To effectively govern, you need to be magnanimous and open to compromise. Trump is none of those things.

FTR, Trump is mostly not getting the job done. Things are fine right now. But the deficit is growing. HC is still a mess. China hasn’t come to the table. Infrastructure remains a problem. He’s been largely ineffective.
I don't support Trump. Not at all. Didn't vote for him. I said why give a fvck how someone acts, if things are getting done? I mean, his first 3 years haven't swayed much then any other president's first three. Only difference is----He's been ridiculed every week since he was elected.

My point? Dude could've cured cancer, poverty.....Completely stopped terrorism......United blacks, whites, hispanics, etc, etc....AND people would still bitch. Why? Simple---They don't like him. And why? Because he acts different.

So fvcking what.

The action of a president rarely has an immediate impact. The ripples are felt years down the road.

Part of the president’s role is to literally lead the nation. He’s furthering the divide and throwing gas on the fire. If you can’t grasp that, there’s little hope for you.

I am 68 years old and Trump is the first POTUS that has actually tried his best to do what he promised while he was running. I firmly believes he wants to do the best things for this country. The man donates his salary, how many has done that. Are there some things about him I dislike, sure, but as long as he keeps doing the things he is doing now, he has my support.

No hope for you and your kind, you are too blinded by hate to see the good things Trump has done. I am sure you believe the Democrats and media have not fanned any flames, right? MSNBC, NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, WaPo,NY Times all report the news in a fair way, and never, ever lie, or mislead, right?

No. Interested to see you try and prove they are. Also interested to hear your opinion on the overwhelming liberal slant in public schools.
Seriously? You want proof that private schools brainwash their kids but claim without offering any evidence at all that public schools do?

What did he donate his salary to? Evidence?

A so-called "billionaire" donating a 1/4 million dollar salary is like someone making $100K donating $25.

You may believe that the things he is trying to do are good for the country, but there is far less compelling evidence for claiming that's what motivates him.

What do you dislike about him if not things he continues to do?

It saddens me that people like you have a vote.

Who pays for all that shit? The people that have to work 12 months a year and pay for their own health benefits, that's who. And if public schools would stop brain washing our kids, they would not need so much counseling. WTF does a "Library Media Coordinator do anyway?
Uh, we all pay for it, just like we all pay for doing our kids a terrible disservice.
Most teachers work 12 months per year. All teachers pay for their own health benefits.
Plenty of research shows how librarians help learning.

I'm not looking any of this up for you. You're speaking from a place of complete ignorance. I'll speak the truth, but I'm not wasting my time proving it to someone too lazy and unprincipled to care whether anything he says is true, and who will easily dismiss any and all proof in favor of the lies he prefers.

lol @ people liking what you posted b/c it makes some weak effort of standing up to me and that's the only thing they care about.

I teach in a public school. My wife does as well. I know people well who teach at all levels of HS and college, both public and private. There is no systemic 'brain washing' going on in either IMO. However, there is without a doubt more accountability in public schools so anything people may consider 'brain washing' would be much easier in the private setting. Their very nature dictates the ability to do this. My feeling is most people feel anything that is taught that is an opinion, especially one contrary to one's value system or political leanings, could be labeled as brain washing when it really is not. That is a very generic take though.

How did the SJW meeting go today, datt?
Couldn't tell you. I was busy working with supporters of public education to get the schools our students deserve.

How did making any difference go for you today? Did you help anyone? Did you improve anything? Did you even try or care?

I'm going to need a ruling on whether requiring literal perfection is (i) moving the goalposts or (ii) just a version of the perfect solution fallacy. But either way, lol.

I didn't get to finish the job today. But I have some pretty important hearings tomorrow and Friday where I have the chance to make a positive influence on people's lives. Way more influential than bailing on them for a tax payer's day off so I can act like I care about the wellbeing of the same people I bailed on.

When you're sick and you show up for work, you risk getting others sick and making yourself worse.

When the weather is dangerous and you keep the office open, you risk people's lives.

Public schools in NC are under attack from privatizers who use kids like commodities for personal profit. They're underfunded and "sick." Taking a day off to flex on the General Assembly -- at our own expense, and to work an even longer day -- is responsible.

You don't care b/c you have no kids and you don't care about anything beyond your tiny, tiny bubble.

We fed kids for free and coordinated with churches and other community groups to provide childcare. I don't think you're really dumb enough to believe we "bailed," so I conclude that you are consciously lying for the pathetic purpose of trolling me, which again speaks to your apathy and malice toward anything that doesn't benefit you in some way.

Dat. You can have that opinion about me. I really don't care. You only have your internet experience with me to base your opinions on and have no clue who I am.

I have no doubt that the public school system is in desperate need of change and improvements. I just don't approve of teachers using school days to have SJW meetings. Especially in a year where they already have many days to make up for in a lot of places in North Carolina due to weather.

I am fully aware that my opinion on this means absolutely nothing. But there it is.

Did all of you take the day without pay, or did you get paid? If you got paid then me and the rest of the people were forced to subsidize your rally, even if we disagree with it.

I have always promoted teachers, cops, ems ,workers get paid a decent salary,if they are held accountable. But schools are sending kids out that can not make change without a computer. It is called the dumbing down of America, and it is working, AOC is a prime example.

I have seen your posts on here for several years and can not remember one time you have been on the right, common sense side of anything. Have a good day, and good luck with your SJW rally.

Geez. You don't like her politics, but AOC is brilliant. I can't stand Sen Mitch McConnell or President Donald Trump, but I recognize their skills.

You show equally little depth in your understanding of public education and I don't have time to educate you other than giving you a couple Google search terms: "privatization of public schools" and "unlimited charter school expansion.

AOC is the furthest thing from brilliant I can think of right now. You guys will put anyone on a pedestal if they push socialist ideas. You continually move further to the left at every opportunity.....you better be damn careful you don’t fall off that side of flat earth!

I can't remember anything about you beyond the last few pages. I haven't agreed with you and I haven't been impressed by anything you've said, but I would presume you're not entirely without worth and that you've had solid, respectable opinions at some point.

Believing a well-educated, well-spoken, detail-oriented, principled 29-year-old is "the furthest thing from brilliant" is the only extreme opinion here. And my expressing respect for the skills of two men I dislike intensely probably didn't even register with you b/c it's something you can't fathom intellectually.

It’s bc I don’t share those views about trump or aoc. Neither can explain in detail how any of their plans work

Holy shit. Are we really saying that AOC is brilliant?
Cow farts man, cow farts. Did you know we only have 12 years left to act on climate change. Apparently it’s our WWII (I honestly laughed while typing this). The Green New Deal is the biggest, dumbest shit I’ve seen in politics and AOC is the ring leader of the circus behind it.

I’ll acknowledge her social media skills. That’s about all I see unless you think being a woman and a minority is a skill....

The bridge to Hawaii ought to be a sweet ride.

How much detail do you expect a politician to share in a sound bite? AOC cites well-respected, peer-reviewed research in support of her views.

It has nothing to do with agreement.
