I'm sure for most of you nothing has changed. You'll wake up, feebly attempt to rub one out while asphyxiating yourself with the tie you only own because of funerals and weddings before giving up because you can't get it up because you can see yourself in the mirror and you disgust yourself too much to get an erection. Then you'll eat some leftover chicken that has been sitting on the kitchen counter overnight before settling in to the lazy boy chair you found by the curb of your neighbors house on garbage day and then firing up your "big screen" 45" TV and hoping today isn't the day someone at Comcast figures out you've been siphoning cable off your other neighbor via a spliced wire. Along the way you'll fill up your best glass (a 4 year old 7/11 Big Gulf plastic cup) with 3 parts Mad Dog 2020 and 1 part mountain dew. 20 minutes before tip off you'll scream for your wife to make you a sandwich before remembering that she wised up and left you 3 years prior. After 20 minutes of yelling you'll remember this fact and then spend the next 2 hours sobbing uncontrollably. Hurry up and wipe your eyes because the next round of games is about to start!

Rinse and repeat on Friday.

For me, I'll be at the office taking advantage of my two screen set up at my desk. Might duck out around 2 or 3, but might just stay at the office since all the games seem to be staggered about 20 minutes apart so easy to catch the second half of every game from one screen. Might take off Friday or might do the same thing again. If I take off I'll stop at a local deli and pick up some sandwich supplies and stuff like that, nothing too crazy. Always been a tradition of mine to do it that way. Some nice corned beef, rye bread, pickles, etc.

I see no mention of stopping at an adult beverage store. Do better.

My mancave is designed for March madness. I have a tv wall complete with 4 screens, fully stocked bourbon bar, fridge loaded with beer, a bathroom positioned where you can see all 4 screens from the grunt stump, an awesome gym and my home office so I can (pretend to) work.

Go to pour?
I have a strict policy where I only drink on weekends, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow night, but the bar is ready.
I built it 10 years ago.

Looks good but what are you pouring? I see some some decent options up there.

Well, I have Blanton's black, gold, red, green and cream, I just got 2 bottles of Cream of Kentucky in yesterday.
I have Rip van winkle, very old saint nick, 1792, Woodford double oaked, woodford double-double oaked, makers, makers french oaked, jefferson reserve, weller green, weller black, weller antique 107, whistlepig, 10 different blends of basil hayden, sazerac, willet pot still and a bunch of other shit on the inner bar shelves.

I'm really excited about the Cream of Kentucky. Very few people know about it. It’s extremely hard to get and it is incredibly smooth. It's a rye. I'm probably going to pop one of those bottles and put the other on the 'do-not-drink' wall.

Blanton's gold is excellent stuff. To bad their single barrels are average. I would love to go to the distillery and get a Woodford double double. I know the brand of rye you mention but in my market in NC/SC we rarely get stuff like that. I may open up the Old Overholt 10yr CS rye I just picked up. I have been hearing great stuff from customers on that one so I had to snag it when it popped up at my local ABC.

All blanton's is single barrel.
My brother actually has been working at Buffalo trace doing an expansion for several years now. He had the master distiller sign a bottle of Blanton's for me.

My aunt was a tour guide at Woodford, she snuck me a bottle of double-double oaked. They only released it one time that I know of, very few people even know it exists.

Is Overholt a NY whiskey? Never heard of it, but if it's good, I'm in. I like Whistlepig, so I'm good with the NY stuff.

Looks like I need to get another bottle of double oaked.
Got help the soul that dares to open my double-double.
I'm going to see.if I can get some overholt.
I used to he able to get blanton's for $59.00 at Meijer's, now, if I can find it for $150.00, I have to bite the bullet.
My brothers company has been building more rick houses at Buffalo Trace specifically to house more barrels of Blanton's, so give it 6 or 7 more years and it'll be easier to get.

Send me a blantons mini please! I would love to try a pour of that double double. The regular DO is so good. I work at a place every other Sat for some FU money and we recently did out second DO store pick. First one sold out fully in 28 hours and was just candy. The next one is even better. Give me that or a nice OF 1910 and I am a happy fella. I love the over the top profile the second barrel gives it.

What are you seeing for pricing on Blanton's? I'm aasuming you're in the northeast somewhere?

I am in Charlotte, well, the area at least. If/when I see it, since we are an ABC state, its retail. Which I think is $60 here. The place I work will get it as well and our price is I think $67.00. But its rare for us to get it and more rare to find it in my ABC stores. When it hits, its gone real quick.

I bought a case of Old Style which I was way too excited about when I saw it at a liquor store here in the Denver burbs.

Will probably have to switch to bourbon to get through a Purdue game in this tournament.

Yeah, if I find it in Ohio, they can only sell it for $60 as well, problem is, everyone in LY knows that and floods Ohio to get it. Ugh.

I will never get that. Its fine bourbon, but its nothing special. Tons of things I would rather drink at better prices and easier to get. Every Sat without fail some asshat pops into the front door, asks if we have it, and leaves when I say no. I could have 20 cases collecting dust and I wouldnt sell a bottle to that guy.

Stuck at the office today but have the games on my iPad. Tonight will be chill, just watching basketball at home and then watching some porn and masturbating.

I'm taking tomorrow off to drink and watch hoops all day. I expect I'll be curled up in a ball in the corner by about 8:30 or so after some no name Grambling player hits his 7th three after shooting 23% on the season.

Everyone has their taste. I started drinking Blanton's in 2014. I lived in Michigan then and I was able to get it right around the corner at Meijer's for $59.00. There would always be 20 on the shelf. I didn't think it would ever get so popular.
I love single barrel and that's as smooth as it gets. The nose and finish is great.
There's a bar over here that has all the different's Blanton's and Weller.labels, so I just go drink theirs.
Thing about Weller is, they all taste exactly the same. Don't waste your money on the white, blue, black and orange label stuff. The 107 is a little different, but I was disappointed in the top shelf Weller labels. The orange is new, it's a single barrel that sells for $1,500.00 a bottle minimum and it tastes no different than the $65.00 green label reserve.

Fair points. I have issues with wheaters, so I stay away from Weller, Larceny etc. I have tried the 107 and was not impressed. Again, fine stuff, just not what folks act like it is. I hate the distribution system for booze. I work in industrial distribution for my primary job and if we had supply issues or the BS the liquor store owner puts up with I would change industries. Its a complete joke.

Honestly, Whiskey and Bourbon have exploded over the last 10 years. Seems like everyone got interested in it all the sudden. Everything is way overpriced. Used to be able to get really good stuff for $30-$50, but not anymore.

It also doesn't help that Japanese companies have bought.out most all of the bourbon distilleries and they ship the good stuff to Japan. I think Willett is the only one that hasn't.

When I’m not feeding or changing my son, I’ll be smoking some fire and having some Four Roses small batch.

I don’t limit myself like Jeff does. If it ends in Y, I’m gonna drink.
Have you tried the small batch select? It is a huge step up from the regular small batch.
