...aaaaaand my wife and oldest kid were just in a hit-and-run (they're fine), so I'm going to have to cut short this conversation w/ a bunch of scumbags.

Save me your BC sympathies. I already said they're fine.
We are all a bunch of normals here. Hope they are all okay. And I hope they nail the bastard. Not stopping after hitting a woman and child deserves special justice.

So the cops came over with the camera footage, any guess on who vandalized my car?

I feel like an asshole asking the guy to not allow section 8. yet, my car gets kicked in. Easy answer, I just need to move.

White trailer park trash is the worst.:p
Lol. Worst of the worst.

@toonces11 Tell me more about who gets all worked up over terminology.
Not worked up over terminology. More just pointing and laughing at you acting like you’re conceding some big point. By saying alleged, you’re really not condemning anything. Which, to me, shows how fake you really are. Sad.

Ever hear of the "quota" system? Where I worked, if you bid on a job, 8 times out of 10 a black person got it over a white person. It happened to me on more than one occasion.
Always an excuse, never own your own legacy.

Someone called Farrakhan an anti-Semite w/o offering any proof and I'm not familiar with much of anything he has ever said, let alone anything antisemitic. I suspect the same person/people would accuse Rep Omar of antisemitism and that's a crock, so...

I fully condemn all antisemitism. I don't trust y'all's judgment on much of anything, though.

So, in your head only white people can be racist?

Since its founding in 1930, the Nation of Islam (NOI) has grown into one of the wealthiest and best-known organizations in black America, offering numerous programs and events designed to uplift African Americans. Okay. I trust SPLC. I doubt any of y'all actually do, but any port in a storm...

I retract the "allegedly" from my previous statement.

In fairness, that's probably better than embodying what is hateful in this country.
I think he is a hateful person if he won’t even shake someone’s hand, especially someone you’ve never actually met in person.

I think he would shake my hand. He isn't really like this in real life. Nobody is. It's all an act. Compensating for something. Probably his height, but nobody really cares how tall you are. It's just joshing around.

Did I say THEY deserved it?
It happened to them. Whatever you think I deserve, why would you bring them into it? This looks a lot like you're sliding back toward the constant trash talk about my family you used to engage in, where even toonces and letsgo refused to defend you. I think eventually a mod probably gave you a vacation or threatened to and you stopped abruptly, never apologized, and I was gracious enough not to insist you take responsibility for it and own it, and all of a sudden you thought I was a decent guy. All it takes is a few pages of one thread and you're teetering on the edge of your sick, twisted version of our faith where you can behave however the ML you want b/c anything you don't like about me makes you righteous in doing anything back.

lol
Remember that time you told me you flew through RDU pretty frequently and invited me to come say what I thought of you to your face? I do. I remember LST deleting my signature quoting you about 3 times before telling me directly to stop. Good times, good times...

I consider a handshake a sign of accord. Shaking the hand of someone I consider a bad person would be dishonest in my book. I'm direct and principled like that. You want to talk it out and we come to some understanding face-to-face that we never do online, maybe we can shake hands at the end.

Oh, all of a sudden you want to give me credit for being able to compromise? lol

I chose my words carefully. How do you know I wasnt referring to the person who did the hit and run? You don’t. You didn’t disappoint in your response, as expected.

Once again, personal responsibility is something for other people to be held to...

Actually, the exact opposite is closer to the truth. Religion was certainly misused as a weapon to condone slavery and pacify the enslaved, but it is undeniable that the entire abolitionist movement was founded by and dominated by people of faith, specifically Christians.

If you're going to refer to Christians as idiots -- many of us are -- you should take extra care to ensure you aren't saying idiotic things, and you failed pretty badly there.

So religion has monopoly on morals? LOL at that. Its not my fault you're a christian.... So its the correct religion and all others are wrong....

They didn't start abolitionist movement based on christianity. They might have been christians, but that had nothing to do with. The bible condones slavery, not against it.

"Because all religions endorsed slavery, it was ok?" No dumbass. Slavery has nothing to do with religion. But religion has a lot to do with a moral compass. Can you follow logic?

Here's your logic white nationalist... google can be your friend or better yet study your bible. I have doubts that many christians have even read it. Particularly you... These are just a couple examples, 1 ot and 1 nt..... suck on your bad logic....

And if a man sells his daughter to be a female slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. If she does not please her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt deceitfully with her. And if he has betrothed her to his son, he shall deal with her according to the custom of daughters. If he takes another wife, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, and her marriage rights. And if he does not do these three for her, then she shall go out free, without paying money.

— Exodus 21

NT

Epistles[edit]
In Eph 6:5-8, Col 3:22-24, 1Tim 6:1-2 and Titus 2:9-10 Saint Paul instruct slaves to obey their masters.[99][100][101][102] In 1Pet 2:18 Saint Peter also instructs slaves to obey their masters.[103] In Col 4:1 Paul instructs masters to "treat your slaves justly and fairly."[104] In Romans 1:1 Paul metaphorically calls himself a "slave of Christ Jesus,"[105] and in Romans 6:20-21 he writes about the metaphor of slavery to sin.[106] In Gal 3:27-29 Paul says that in the church there is "neither slave nor free person,...for you are all one in Christ Jesus."[107] In Revelation, two angels call themselves fellow slaves (coworkers) of Saint John.[108][109]

Never said either of the things in bold and never will.

The Bible identifies how people should act within a society where slavery existed in a different form than America knew it. It doesn't condone it. It was misused within the construct of American history to justify slavery and ironically, you're misusing it in the exact same way now for the purpose of condemning all of Christianity.

The Catholic Church condemned slavery in the 1500s and American Quakers were central to abolitionism. They were absolutely inspired by their faith.

For real, dude, we have similar politics, but you're way, way overextended in your critique of Christianity. There is so, so much worth criticizing about organized religions, including Christianity, but to do it right, you have to differentiate. You're kind of acting like that teenager who is about to get laid for the first time in his life, but is so overexcited he uses his hands like a whack-a-mole mallet before "misfiring" while still in the "holster," so to speak.

For example, in leaping to the erroneous assumption that I think Christians have a monopoly on morals, you reveal the embarrassingly underdeveloped thought that there is basically one type of Christian, and you're not actually refuting the idea that Christians at least have a seat at the table of morality. Yet you seem ready to fight any example demonstrating the well-established and accurate knowledge that Christianity -- like other faiths around the world -- has been the drive behind many, many moral movements in world history.

And now you'll probably come back at me with the Crusades, b/c when I say there is even the slightest positive thing about Christianity, you apparently can't fathom that and then interpret it as some absolute claim you can destroy w/ a singular example. Eyeroll

I don't think any of that means what you think it does...
I can't tell what he even thinks it means. He's just throwing quotations against the wall and hoping they stick.

When I've taught writing and public speaking, coached debate, or done any editing, a pretty hard and fast rule is that you don't allow a quotation to speak for itself even if you think it's obvious b/c your audience will expect you to prove it. This dude is demonstrating laziness, from leaving his task unfinished to rejecting any intellectual complexity.

I don't think so. I'm not allowed to use the words I would choose to categorize y'all.
I think you might project thoughts about yourself on others around here. It’s odd how often you bark racism at others. So much so it seems like it’s more a “you” issue, than anything else.

I am convinced that dattier is a Russian bot. There is no way a real person actually believes in some of the things he spouts.
