This guy! Sick
Okay, let's back up...
Do you accept that institutional racism is a real thing?
Do you acknowledge the definition of racism as racial discrimination plus societal power, and therefore that there is a difference between racial prejudice and racism?

you don't want to hear this, but my wife works with kids.every single race feels discriminated against.

At what age do we grow up and stop being so conceited?.

Fair enough.

It feels like terminology is getting muddled here, as alluded to in my last response to you and
The assertion was that Obama ordered serveillance of Trump, with the implication that it was politically motivated. What we know now is that isn't true.

Russia interfered with the election to help one side win. Campaign members on that side were aware of the interference and okay with it. That side came up short of outright formally agreeing to work with the Russians to rig the election, though offers of information from Russian sources were made and attempts to acquire the information were made.

Those are some of the high level facts. They're not enough to warrant investigation?

If you have an issue with how the warrants were obtained, look at the FBI, not the politicians.
The biggest problem is that the left would only accept one answer imo.

Lol, please tell us how you as a white person has been a target of racism...

WTF? I've never been targeted....oh wait there were those neighbors in Memphis, oh and that girl at Wendys that tossed the change, other than that...shit. my car fender getting kicked in. NVM. that's just Memphis.

What were you asking?

Agreed. Many went all-in too soon. But neither side came out in great shape. The Trump campaign did pull a lot of crap that might not have been collusion but was shady as hell, and most who paid attention to the report recognized that their actions are not what we want our politicians to be doing.

No, no: He said "discriminated against," not "racism." The distinction is important before going further.

I think societal power is an illusion to be honest. And I’m not sure about institutional racism. I’d actually state that I don’t believe institutional racism exists in the sense that there are all kinds of institutions involving an array of different types of people. So, that’s a very broad generalization.

How is that forcing you to "adhere to their beliefs"? How is it any different from the dude you grew up with who used to go by "Billy" now going by "William" as an adult? Or if Billy starts going by his middle name, which is "Gaylord," is it forcing you to adhere to his beliefs if you think that's a way worse name? Do you call every person you meet a Christian b/c you'd otherwise be adhering to their beliefs?

Seriously, to put it as nicely as possible, I don't understand your logic on this.
Simple.

What about forcing a baker to make a custom cake for a wedding between two gay people which goes against the bakers religious beliefs? Even though that same baker will let the gay couple buy any other non customized cake for their wedding.

Again, you’re not going to agree with me. There really isn’t any reason to keep discussing it. You don’t think it happens on the left. I do. We can agree to disagree.

Nope. Institutional racism is NOT a thing. Hasn’t been for a while now.

In that sense, yes, everyone can be an agent of institutional racism b/c we've all grown up in a white supremacist society, but the victims are always people of color. White people can be victims of racial prejudice, but it's not systemic, so it's not racism.
What’s your breaking point for systemic? Language aside, it’s sad people are so weak minded they treat good people bad

You can't force somebody to bake a cake. Well, maybe if you have a gun to their head, but that's a different situation.

Regardless, religious beliefs shouldn't serve as a shield for discrimination.

How is it discrimination when that same couple can buy any other cake in the shop, just not a custom one that the baker had to make specific for their event?

Again, forcing their beliefs on others.

I don't know why you quoted me on this.

I disagree on several points. Mueller's conclusions that have been made known do not constitute an exoneration. "The left" did not have any single voice in this, and fewer leaped prematurely to declaring guilt than you would have us believe. And at what point did the right ever demonstrate a willingness to accept more than one answer?

100% agree. I’m sure there is stuff in there that should laugh some people out of office.

He offers a service that he refused to provide solely based on the genetic makeup of a person, not because of the message on the cake. That's discriminatory. Whether it's illegal is another question, but federal courts are on the baker's side. He wasn't forced to do anything.

Institutional racism is real. People become a product of their environment. If your family is intact, your chances of being a productive member of society is substantially higher than those of broken homes. Own it! When you depend on the government to give you your daily needs, you will become less likely to break the cycle. Own it!
When I hire employees, I hire based on experience, not social economic metrics. We save all resumes for the day someone wants to complain about our hiring practices. My dad has a very diversified group of employees, but we will never hire based on quotas.

The majority in a country with the history that we have crying about being hated is laughable. If white people haven’t been winning in this country, who is?

Edit: Also, the whatabout-ism here is laughable. The KKK and white nationalists are definitely pro-Trump and have been come out of the shadows in full force.

Total lie.

Trump takes care to rail against antisemitism, racism et.al. The KKK hates Jews. Trump's daughter and grandchildren are Jews so why would they support Trump?

Where are all these KKK members? In my life I have never known one. Where are all the white nationalists? In my life I have never known one. Are they friends with you? Apparently they are as you know all about them.

You are so busy lying you don't know your ass from first base. Geeze!

You do realize that there are racist, white Democrats too? Also have Democrats who are antisemitic, openly at that. And yes, the hate for white people is relevant despite our country's history. Reversing the recipients of hate does not serve anyone well. It should be universally understood that hate in all shapes and colors is not a good thing. How will we ever move forward if we use our distant past to justify our present?
The KKK was basically a tool of the Democratic party for most of my life. Hell West Virginia's longest serving Senator was Senator Byrd and he was a long standing member of the KKK.

Mistaken quote. I’m on the outside looking in on this subject bc I firmly believe the two main parties no longer serve rational, hard working, generally good Americans. Educated people are finding it harder to relate to anything the parties represent. It’s become a Jerry springer show that sucks in a certain demographic......that unfortunately seems to be growing. Trump/Bernie/AOC should never represent the majority imo. Obama was a stretch as well bc he represented one side and really didn’t hide it. That led us to trump. Now the left is becoming equally or more extreme to fight fire with fire. It’s the wrong move for about a million reasons.

The number of KKK and White Nationalists in the country is up for debate, but you can't refute that Trump has a disproportionate amount of their support, even compared to past Republican Presidents.

Do you acknowledge the definition of racism
I'm fully aware of the definition of racism. I'm doubting you do with all your "wordy" ramblings. Systemic racism and institutional racism are one in the same basically.
Btw, hate is hate. You think there is different levels, but you are wrong by definition

The KKK was basically a tool of the Democratic party for most of my life.

That's not accurate. Unless you're talking about Democrats from earlier than 1940-ish. Both parties flipped around that time. A pre-1940 Democrat would be a modern day Replublican. A pre-1940 Republican would be a modern day Democrat.

I really don't know how you can make that statement. So I am stating that I refute that Trump has a disproportionate amount of their support.

Please explain to me why a member of the KKK would support Trump? Trump hates the KKK.

You need to quit listening to Anderson Cooper. He has a low IQ and a horrible teleprompter.

I don't watch cable news except for the Fox tidbits I see when my mother-in-law is watching TV.

The KKK supports Trump. The reasons why are irrelevant to the fact. I don't have inside knowledge of KKK thought, but they do publicly support him.

His comments after Charlottesville said it all. The KKK and other white nationalists were out in full force.

God bless brooky, the KKK was started after the Civil War to keep the newly freed blacks under control and it was an arm of the Democratic party. But before you start running out in that direction you need to go back and see where the votes for the civil rights laws came from. It sure as hell was not from the Democrats. I lived through that and I remember my Democratic father railing against Democrats for being such racist.

The pre-1940 Democrat is not a modern day Republican. My dad was born in 1902 (pre-1940) and he never voted for a Republican in his life, yet he railed against his party's racism.

I know human resource managers who hire based on Tabe test results. They will grant a interview if you score a certain number. Simple right? Not a chance.

You are a fcking moron. The “Democratic Party” isn’t the equivalent of the party now. It was the fcking South that refused to grant the rights that Lincoln worked so hard to provide.

Stop. Just stop. Go read the full context of his comments. Even CNN admitted that he wasn’t calling the white nationalists good people.
He’s a fcking moron. Just come out and denounce nazis, the kkk, and white nationalists, which he didn’t do. This is my problem with Trump. He is an idiot. Anyone with decent intelligence would have denounced these fckers immediately without a second thought knowing the PR impact. The people he surrounds himself are fcking morons too. I graduated with his son in law for b-school, and let’s just say, the dude wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed...

Actually, I think that example is a pretty challenging gray area, so no, it's not as simple as full disagreement with you on that. On the one hand, a privately owned business should be allowed to discriminate... on the other hand, putting words on a cake is not an endorsement of those words and therefore questionable as an imposition on someone's faith.

I'm willing to concede it as a singular example not representative of the entire issue. So you have a cake and I'll throw in that wedding photographer for your side, too. I have about 30 state amendments (still) on the books banning same-sex marriage. Are you willing to even attempt to address my examples?
