Childish Gambino "This is America" Music Video---

He had multiple extra chances to fail and he was worse than Kaepernick. Kaepernick is a wonderful person who donates a ton of money to kids all over the world.
Think this is the problem. I wouldn’t consider Kaepernick to be anything close to a good person. Lol.

Why? Because you don’t like his political beliefs. See your ignorant. Guy does a lot for people in need and for black rights. You let a kneeling cloud your judgment and stop at that.

I dont like him because he’s an idiot. Decrying all cops. Pumping Castro as some noble leader. Giving young kids the impression it’s ok to disrespect the flag? Yeah, he’s a model citizen. I’d liken him more to a douche bag.

Lol. You literally are the dumbest person ITT.

Subconsciously they are. They are OK with white players getting second or third or fourth chances who are worse than him. You fail to understand his message and look at it. Makes you the dumbest mofo alive. SAF and closed minded. Sad individual.

Like I said racist and stupid .

You’re calling millions of people racist without knowing any of them. Talk about stupid.

People that are OK with what is happening with Kaepernick are racist subconsciously or consciously when they are OK with all of the other stuff I have mentioned. Damn that black man standing up for the injustices of our judicial system .

I make more than you probably which should make you cry then. It’s a message board and I am typing on my phone. That all you got sunshine?
Uh oh! The internet millionaire. I assume You didn’t even graduate from IU. Based on your logic in here I assume you never got in to college.

Or they genuinely believe it disrespects the flag, our veterans and the country.

Why are their beliefs more wrong than your own? Just because they don’t think the way you do, they’re racist? It’s idiots like you, right here, that got Trump elected. You get so hurt someone doesn’t subscribe to your own beliefs you resort to calling the racist, sexist, homophobic, etc.

You’re a perfect example of why I vote for Trump and will vote for him again. It’s pussies like you that make it so difficult to actually have a real conversation.

Oh dear lord. He got that method from a veteran. Veteran told him it was respectful. You’re an idiot.

So one veteran speaks for all the rest? I have severa in my own family who hate it. Don’t you see how beyond stupid your whole thought process is? One f’ing veteran doesn’t get to dictate what people believe.

So, who do I have to ask how I should feel in certain social issues? Is there like a hotline I can call and they can give me all the bullshit liberal talking points? Is there like an identity politics 101 course I can sit in on?

Green Beret who told him this was respectful:

On why kneeling was better than sitting

“For me, that's a sign of reverence. You know, people take a knee to say a prayer. And then also, military personnel, it's very common to see an image of a soldier, or a marine, or an airman, or a sailor, take a knee in front of a fallen brother-in-arm's grave to pay respects. So I just thought it was better, and it showed more about — that he's paying attention as well, he's not, in a sense, sitting it out. He's engaged.”

I can't imagine any reputable company would put someone who murders the English language as much as @IU_Btown_Chicago does in any sort of position that requires business communication.

I DONT CARE what the Green Beret said. He doesn’t speak for millions and millions of veterans and people across this country. Just because that one guy gave it the ok, doesn’t make it gospel. That’s like saying “well, Hitler said it was ok to slaughter the Jews” so he must speak for every German person.

Are you implying that he speaks for all veterans? Because that would make you dumber than you already look.

Lil Wayne doesn't think racism exists and since he's black it must not exist regardless of what millions of other blacks think. That is this posters logic.

He doesn't decry all cops.
"I wore these socks, in the past, because the rogue cops that are allowed to hold positions in police departments, not only put the community in danger, but also put the cops that have the right intentions in danger by creating an environment of tension and mistrust. I have two uncles and friends who are police officers and work to protect and serve ALL people. So before these socks, which were worn before I took my public stance, are used to distract from the real issues, I wanted to address this immediately."

Castro wasn't Hitler, and how much of what we think we know about him is the result of the American political agenda? How much were atrocities under his regime influenced by US sanctions and actions against him? Is Al-Jazeera respectable enough for you? It's more complicated than Castro's being the spawn of Satan or something. I don't think it was wise of Kaep to speak well of him to audiences where he couldn't control the message and context, but that's as much b/c of that audience's tendency toward hysteria than anything.

It is okay to disrespect the flag. That's what the flag stands for, ironically enough. People have fought and died for us to have that right. But he didn't disrespect the flag. At worst, he disrespected a song. He kneeled instead of sitting as a gesture of respect toward a Veteran. He's had numerous Veterans express support. He was clear why he was doing it. He set an example for kids to make courageous, principled stances for justice. Any parent concerned a football player kneeling for the national anthem for one minute per week is going to teach their kids something negative must not have a very high opinion of their own parenting abilities, nor their own kids' intellect.

You don’t get to dictate what people believe. Just because you and others don’t think he disrespected the flag, doesn’t mean others don’t have a different view which is just as valid as your own. Your view is no more right than my own. You don’t think he disrespected the flag. I do. Nothing you’re going to say is going to change my mind. I have family that served. I think it’s absolutely disrespectful to kneel.

Kaep has the right to kneel just like everyone else has the right to criticize him for it.
