you also ignore that he does not get 1 n done players and the only solid top 50 player in Cook was rated #38 overall by ESPN. AND he is in the NBA after his JR year, he could have used 1 more year working on a consistent shot out past 5'. THERE are a lot of players in the NBA that can dunk.

that is why to me he is/will not be that hard to replace.

Michigan has 6 guys on NBA rosters right now that weren't in the top 90 by 247 (Hardaway, Burke, Levert, Wilson, Wagner, Poole). The Mountain West has 5 teams that have had more players drafted this decade than Iowa (New Mexico, Wyoming, Nevada, UNLV, San Diego State). But sure, let's pretend that only top 50 recruits get drafted.

Burke was a top 100 4* @# 75 overall, the 1st 6 years Fran had been building this team from the basement up.
1st the fans were not even at the pathetic stage as it was much worse than that avg'ing between 5500 and 6500 at most in a arena that hold 15,500
1A he has got the fans back to where they avg 13,500+
2nd the facilities were one of the worst in the BT with no reason to improve them
2A Iowa has spent over 90,000,000 on improvements and their are talks about renovating Carver to be more attractive to recruits,
the new practice facility and improvements are having a impact on the recruits now that is done,.

the improved recruiting the last 3 years will improve the level of the BB team
the 2016 class had 1 players that didn't even last 4 years and Cook who left as a JR is on a NBA roster
the 2015 class had 5 players that didn't last 4 years
hard to put players into the NBA
these were not highly sought after or even close to being even mediocre ranked

Jok
Uthoff was a 3* by Rival but was a top 100 4* by ESPN.

now we will see how the players from 2017 going forward now won't we.

Imo kreiner is a sure fire lotto pick, face of the franchise type guy.

nope. for Iowa he is their solid backup at the 5 who has range to 3, their was a bench player for the Lakers that did the little things, his name was Kurt Rambis never a star but was needed just the same, Pemsl is the same way always ready to do the little things but never the star,

these are the stars of the team
Connor
Fredrick
Wieskamp
Nunge
Garza

Nunge had a nice breakout game with a dbl dbl of 14 points and 10 rebounds. now the question is will he maintain that high level in the future.
don't expect a dbl dbl every night but I would like to see him do this
12 ppg and 5+ rpg going forward as I know Garza won't maintain the 21+ ppg but he can avg dbl digits in rebounding as he is that aggressive on the boards,

Weird. Jim Harbaugh noted this summer that student athletes should be allowed to transfer one time without sitting out a season.

Tom Izzo publicly disagreed with those comments noting transfers are too rampant and that a "penalty" should occur.

Now today happens. Lol

that shows how pathetic you really are,
the 11 years before Fran took over Iowa had been to 3 NCAAT with 1 win.
then there was the Pearce fiasco where Stevie boy let a sex offender rejoin the team, this turned a lot of the fans away,

then the 3 years under Lick they won 15 BT games for avg of 5 BT wins per season running multiple players off each year, this program was not a dumpster fire it was a complete nuclear melt down. nobody even cared as far as the fans and administation went.
the facilities were the worst in the BT, the attendence was the worst in the BT. Iowa was the last place that any recruit wanted to be apart of.
doubt any here would disagree on those.

yes it took him 6 years to turn it around. but it is heading in the right direction, it started when he kept Woodbury home vs losing him to UNCheats. getting Gesell to choose Iowa over Stanford.

getting Cook to choose Iowa over Kansas
Garza picked Iowa over Georgetown and Stripper U
Wieskamp stayed home and he could have gone anywhere but he committed to Fran as a SO. which kept the bigger programs away,

I thought we were talking about coaches that don't sign top-ranked recruits, yet still produce NBA players? I guess when the discussion doesn't go your way you can always hit ctrl + v and repeat your same old shtick

Iowa looks like they would definitely be good enough to challenge for a 2a Indiana High School Sectional Title...
