8 UNC @ 1 Duke game thread

Who did UNC have to defend those guys Borden? It's not like UNC has a bunch of guys inside. Losing Zion basically leveled the playing field, only Duke STILL has more talent.
Barrett and Jones are extremely hard to stop going to the rim.
But most of those threes they took were after pass with 20+ seconds left on the shot clock. That's not good offense. The ball never saw the paint.
Argue it all you want, I don't care that you are a ref, doesn't matter. Duke still had more talent than UNC, they were on their home court and they have coach K. Nobody is feeling sorry for a team that has all that. Bottom line is they jacked 38 threes and played stupid. That's why they lost .
Think about that, who shoots 38 threes?
RJ and Jones have been celebrated all year long, but you mean to tell me they can't get the ball into the paint?
If you think shooting 38 threes when you're not making any is okay, then I can't help you.

Had we lost this game with your best player out it wouldn't of been good. I hope Zion makes a speedy recovery but you guys were 8-39 from the 3 point line, that's game over IMO.
Well, you picked Louisville as the opponent, if you picked UNC, I might have agreed with you. Cal only lost to UL twice, pitino's style of play doesn't work so we'll against Cal.
And yes, I'm saying Cal would have got control of this thing. K let them shoot 38 threes, Cal would not allow that.
I'm still stunned that Duke shot that many threes even though they kept missing. Played right into UNC's hands. Most of those threes we're early in the shot clock and they turned into easy points on the other end. That's why they lost.
ESPN just told me that Duke wins going away with Zion, so no point playing the game in Chapel Hill in 2.5 weeks.
I still think he is. I see Duke as an elite eight contender with Jones and without Zion. I see Duke as a sweet sixteen contender with Zion and without Jones.
Depends on draw. If you play anyone without Zion who has a post game, it’s gonna be tough for you

Depends on who is injured. Also, to be fair to those here, it is mainly the media and K that are the ones making excuses. Not the guys here.

Zion will play against Carolina in 2 weeks and have a triple-double. What else would you expect from the best player since LeBron?

I used UL because of the rivalry aspect....Figured you would understand why I said, "UL". Controlling emotions isn't that easy. MOF,you have no idea how UK would have reacted. You have no idea if Cal would have been able to reel in the emotions, get them focused, and been able to adjust to not having Davis for the next 39 minutes and 30 seconds. Nad of course...nor do I. Duke shot three's b/c that is all that was available...And well, they panicked. UNC collapsed the lanes on Duke, and forced them to settle for jump shots. Duke bit. Like I said, when you are taliking emotions, you have no idea how kids are gonna react.
Its one thing to have time to prepare for an injury...Its a whole other to have to do so, 30 seconds into a game. I mean, as graet as K is...I doubt he has a game plan with NO Zion included.

Well, I saw the handshake thing dude was talking about. He definitely gave Roy the blow by. I'm sure he is concerned about Zion but for a dude who likes to lecture players on their behavior it was pretty disrespectful. Not surprising nor his best moment.
