7th Annual College Basketball Draft

what’s the time limit on picks? Not throwing shade because I haven’t been as timely as in the past, but more just curious.

I actually spent some time figuring out some names for my next pick or two so I can be less of a time suck.

24 hours but it may drop to 12 if we are still not on pace to finish before the season starts.

@duckboy33 is up

Love Edwards. He's Uber efficient. Edwards-Kriisa is a great 1-2 punch. Just don't know about the rest of the West Virginia roster. A lot of unproven 3 star players.

Thought about taking Edwards as early as Round 5, but I just can't get past that roster.

Noooooooo!!!

Love Wooga. He barely made a single top 100 list. Thought I could wait one more round. He's going to be dynamite this year. Great pick.

I was really surprised he didn’t make a list. I honestly thought about picking him in rounds 4 and 5.

Probably has a lower floor than Pack and Omier. But, I tend to think he has a higher ceiling. Great value for Round 9.

Little surprised this guy is still here.

2nd team All Big East last year. Leading scorer at 15 ppg for what will be a top 5 team. That's a lot of win shares for Kam Jones from Marquette.

@FaithPlusOne is on the clock.

Kam Jones is fantastic. I took him last year in Round 11 and he was a steal.

He's been on my short list since Round 6. This past round I was deliberating between him and Scheierman. Tough call. Team-wise, I'd give a slight edge to Marquette over Creighton. Just feel like Scheierman is crazy versatile and can probably rack up Win Shares a little easier. But, Kam Jones in Round 9 is a tremendous pick up.

I'm surprised both of these Big East guys lasted this long. Some might just be nervous that there's already been quite a few Big East guys taken, which is true. They obviously can't all make 1st Team. But, honestly wouldn't be surprised if we saw 5 Big East players earn All-American honors. Big Ten did it recently (2022 maybe?).

On my way to the office now. Will look to pick soon after.

Jones was one I had circled for my possible next pick.

Branden Carlson, Utah

Some of the picks I really wanted were taken with the last few, but this guy is solid for this late IMO. I just don’t know if Utah is going to win enough.

@lurkeraspect84, you’re up.

He was going to be my next pick. Utah will be 5th or 6th in the P12 and he'll put up 18 and 8. Should be 2nd team All P12 at worst. Very solid pick at this stage in the draft.

Ugh... I should have taken him instead of Enrique Freeman. Was thinking Borden was going to take more mid-major stars. Mid-majors seem more scarce this year. Instant regret.

It's crazy how many guys in rounds 5-8 were taken that weren't really high on my list. But, these last 10 picks or so? Jesse Edwards, RayJ Dennis, Wooga Poplar, Kam Jones, Branden Carlson. Sheesh.

Here are some notable players still left in the draft. I've separated the players by conferences.

Since the inception of this draft, The P6 leagues have received 4 points each year for making 1st Team All-Conference. You need 4 teams in the KenPom top 50 to earn 4 points for making 1st Team All-Conference. The AAC, A10, MWC, and WCC often have 4 teams in the top 100, which would qualify them for 3 points on making 1st Team. All other conferences are likely to only yield 2 points. Wouldn't be out of the question, though, to see another conference make it like the MVC or C-USA.
