7th Annual College Basketball Draft

Seeing how he's drunk, those picks actually make A LOT of sense.

Anyone thinking about stealing my picks.

I came in last last year.

Not sure why my head hurts this morning.

But at least I'm now thinking clearly. I'll go with Alijah Martin from FAU

@FaithPlusOne is on the clock.

With my last pick, I typed in both Riley Kugel and Alijah Martin... of course I had to delete one of them, knowing I probably wouldn't have the chance to see them on the board again.

Solid player. Should be a valuable player - and likely a 1st Teamer in the AAC.

Yep. Most are assuming Johnell Davis is their best player because of his tourney run but their stats are almost identical and Davis went 18th while I got Martin at 72nd.

Very similar. I noticed that, too. Davis does have a little higher efficiency rating (24.0 to 21.4), but Alijah Martin is very much in the running for AAC POY. He's right there with him. And Martin did make the All-Tournament team last year, after all. If FAU wins 30+ games again, either one could merit AA or HM All-American honors.

Guess the one thing that made me a little cautious with Martin, is Dusty May likes to utilize a deep bench. That eats into raw stats and possible postseason awards.

True. Limits the win shares a bit too. That's why I've been passing on him until now.

Do y'all think this should be pinned?

The pick'em will be.
I don't b/c once the picks are made there's not much to talk about regularly.

I'm going off the reservation so to speak since he isn't on the Top 100 lists somehow.

Jordan Brown, Memphis

Anyone know something I don't? 19.3 pts and 8.6 rebounds per game last year at ULL. Moving to Memphis this season and they should be one of the top teams in the AAC this year. Not like its that much if a jump in talent. He should feast down low with all the talent they will have on the wings.

Maybe I'm just playing this thing wrong lol.

@ThePhog08 you are up.

Owner brought out a sheet the other day of which players are earning the most from FedEx. Your dude is #2.
They;re expecting big things.
He asked me if UK was putting up those numbers. I have no idea about UK, but Memphis players are getting paid.

I've found two more notable waivers that have been denied.

Jaylon Tyson, California (via Texas Tech)
Aziz Bandaogo, Cincinnati (via Utah Valley)

Tyson, IMO, would have been the go-to guy at Cal. He was someone I was looking at very closely for the draft. Cal has a much improved roster and I think Tyson could have been an All Pac-12 dude.

Bandaogo averaged 11-10 and around 3 blocks per game (4th nationally). Big blows for both schools. What I don't like about these two waivers being denied, as well as RaeQuan Battle, is all of these guys had coaches that left. Not a fan of it.

@WeAreDePaul asks is it my turn and disappears immediately. Bro you should have already had your guys in mind
Shut up, I’m on vacation. The hookers don’t like it when i look at my phone while they’re harvesting a kidney.

I’ll take the freshman guard from Oregon Shelstad and the freshman guard from Xavier Trey Green.

Damnit, I thought he was under the radar. Thought I could get him in a round or two.

@boilerzz

Did I make a bad pick?

What's the expectations for him this year?
I think it was a solid double. Feel like he is better a couple of rounds later. He'll shoot better and average 12-14 points. I'd guess he ends up 3rd team All Big 10 and pulls about a 4.0 win share.

Hahaha. Sorry guys. I had good intentions but then work happened.

Zeke Mayo, South Dakota State

I was taking a personal day and the moment I got to my computer I got pulled into work stuff.

Never watched RayJ at Toledo; I saw him quite a few times at Boise State, though. He was just a role player then, but loved his tenacity. He always stood out to me as someone who's not afraid of taking on anyone.

He won't put up the same numbers in the Big 12, but I'm confident that he'll be a reliable guard that will be in contention for All-Conference honors.
