8th Annual College Basketball Draft

I think the two white freshmen that I took in the latter-half of the draft are going to be okay. Opening night stats...

Kon Knueppel: 22 points, 4 reb, 2 ast
Egor Demin: 18 points, 11 assists, 4 reb, 4 steals

They both look like lottery picks to me.

I'm ready to concede that Tre Johnson will be way better than I was expecting. He won't be one of those nice complimentary players that averages 12 a night; he will be the best player for Texas. Should easily average north of 17+ ppg.

Tre Johnson is one of those risk/reward picks. He might end up being just another player averaging low double figures for Texas or he might end up being an All American. That's the type of guy you take a chance on late and I thought he'd go another round or two since he's not being talked about much. I really thought I could get him in the 9th round you sumbitch!

I was worried Texas might be a team full of chuckers with Tramon Mark, Jordan Pope, and Arthur Kaluma; I thought his shot attempts might be somewhat limited and he'd take on a Cody Williams type of role. And it still might be the case where everyone is looking for their shot rather trying to facilitate. But, Tre Johnson is clearly the most talented and he should get the most shots.

that's the problem my guy Edgecomb is gonna face in Baylor. Only one player looking to pass and that's the freshman PG who comes off the bench. The whole team is selfish chuckers. Edgecomb literally didn't touch the ball the first 8 minutes of the game.

Rob Wright is gonna be really good. Already a better facilitator than Roach.

Edgecombe had a rough game. But, he'll be fine. He's too talented to put up pedestrian numbers.

gonna be hard to put up numbers if he doesn't touch the ball. Roach was a big reason for that. best case scenario, they promote Wright to starting lineup and send Roach to the bench.

I know it was first game and on the road, but the lack of ball movement by Baylor was shocking. It was all one pass and then that guy goes 1v1.

^I was just about to mention him.

As good as a lot of these freshmen have been on opening night, nobody had a better 1st game of the season than Ryan Kalkbrenner.
