Looking for 10-14 posters for this draft. Last year, we had 12 posters and we had 12 rounds for an even 144 selections. Somewhere around February we'll have a cutoff date to select your top 9 players for scoring. Your bottom 3 players will effectively be cut. But, at least this allows a grace period for season-ending injuries - and guys that are complete busts.

The scoring will be a combination of win shares + postseason accolades. Please let me know if you think any part of the scoring system needs to be reexamined.

Scoring system for postseason awards
10 points- National Player of the Year (AP for All-American Teams)
9 points- 1st Team All-American
8 points- 2nd Team All-American
7 points- 3rd Team All-American; NABC Defensive POY
6 points- Honorable Mention All-American; Final Four MOP
5 points- Conference Player of the Year; All Tournament Team
4 points- 1st Team All-Conference; Conference Defensive POY; NCAA Regional MOP
3 points- 2nd Team All-Conference; All Regional Team
2 points- 3rd Team All-Conference; All-Conference Defense; Conference Tournament MOP
1 point- Honorable Mention All-Conference; All Tournament Team

Players that aren't in a Power-6 Conference will have a lower point total for conference awards
3 points- Conference POY
2 points- 1st Team All-Conference
1 point- 2nd Team All-Conference

However, if a conference has 4 teams in the KenPom top 50, they should be granted the full amount of points. If they have 4 teams in the top 100, I'll only deduct 1 point (i.e. 4 points for CPOY, 3 points for 1st Team All-Conference). From last season, the Power 6 conferences all received 4 points for 1st Team All-Conference. While, the AAC, MWC, WCC, and Sun Belt received 3 points for 1st Team. The remaining 22 conferences would have a 2 point deduction, and thus only receive 2 points for 1st Team All-Conference.

Also, be aware the Pac-12 and SEC don't delineate all-conference awards in a typical 5 players for each team format. Pac-12 has 10 on the first team; SEC has 8. With the scoring system, we will make a clear distinction of who is awarded with 1st Team Points and 2nd Team Points. The Conference POY automatically makes the 1st Team + the next 4 players with the highest Win Shares.

For an explanation on Win Shares, but visit here.

Did I win this last season? I know I dominated the weekly pick em tournament and I seem to recall doing really well in this one too.

Yes, and DePaul made the NIT. This is adorable but very wrong. You performed near the top of the “rest of the pack” category, though.

I've won this the last 2 seasons. You beat me in Pick'Em by 2 or 3 points, though. Think you also edged me out in the Tournament Bracket, where you were 1st and I finished 2nd.

Last season's results:

TOP 3
1. dukedevilz- 84.6
2. @FaithPlusOne- 82.0
3. @WojoRising- 77.5

REST OF THE PACK
4. @boilerzz- 72.2
5. @MGC_07- 70.8
6. @WeAreDePaul- 69.5
7. @duckboy33- 68.5

that's right. I knew I dominated this board last year, but wasn't sure if I won everything or if I let one of you peons taste some glory.

So last year I won the weekly Pick em and the March Madness bracket, but was unable to complete the triple crown with this league. I'll rectify that this year.

I had a good year despite whiffing on a lot of my top picks. I had a lot of hits later in the draft that made it competitive.

oof

this is the year we go in reverse alphabetical order at the draft right?

I haven't done that the past two years. I just do a simulation for the draft order. I simulate it 3 times, take screenshots, and then get the averages.

Zach Edey is a hack. It's hilarious that they'd put him at #1. Not sure he's even top 10 this year.

You really enjoy seeing Purdue at the top of both of those lists, don't you?
I'm not even sure I'd make him the first Boilermaker. It's pretty clear Trey Kaufmann-Renn is going to be the focal point of the offense. Dude played great in Europe this summer.

Trey Kaufman-Renn and Zach Edey 'bout to go 1-2 in the draft.
