Goodman new top 25

I wouldn’t want to trade Garrett’s starting spot for a shooter if that replacement isn’t really good at defense. Dotson is an adequate shooter from what I can remember and Agbaji was pretty good as well. I think that most of the offense is going to all come from down low this year anyways. Just having a guy out there that can shoot 40% isn’t more valuable IMO than having a lock down defender that will do a really good job disrupting the opponents backcourt.

Yeah, but having three players with no range on the court at the same time, plus a PG who can't create his own shot and a streaky SG isn't a recipe for offensive success. They'll pack it in and take away a lot of easy dunk opportunities for Azubuike. I will say that, by all accounts, Silvio has expanded his game and could be a mid-range threat, which would help.

Walker is a pretty good defender by the way.

Fair on the historical stuff.

But was talking 2015 to present as you see in my post. 3-1 verse you, 3 E8’s and 1 FF. You’ve had what? One E8 in that period, no FF’s? You got beat by our little brother last year I recall.

And you played in the NIT in 2013. We haven’t see that since 1989 I believe.

KU hasn't played in the NIT since 69.

Ah you’re right. But we didn’t make any postseason at all in89.

We’re already full at the wing so not good imo. Garrett will start there and we will move Agbaji to the 2 now without RJ. Which I’m very excited about.

"full at wing" with bodies sure, but we need shooting/scoring. Williamson fills that void on both of those. He's going to better than all our wings, UNLESS, Agbaji can get back to form when he was ballin' during that 10 game stretch. Garrett is a great defender, but offensively anemic.

Sounds like Bill will probably land Kyree Walker if he chooses to reclassify. Near 50% 3 point shooting wing.

Walker does look to be a stud...would be a great pickup for us. I think he plans to announce what he is going to do in August??

Goodman stated he was going with experience first. Which is maybe a good way to look at a pre-season ranking.

I'm pretty happy with our team. Our non-ranked recruit averaged 42 and 14 before his acl injury. And if Brad doesn't transfer, he'll be the rebounding/shot blocking monster we all thought he would be.

To be fair, if he doesn't score 42 apparently his team doesn't have a chance since they had a losing record without him. Pendleton Co. region is very very weak. Still a great player and likely should be in college if he heals correctly, but I think it was more of a feed the best player on the court than anything.

He'll be used a lot like Baker, scoring is his number one option when he's in. I doubt he sees much minutes this next year. Still that was some kind of pace he was on.

having Kansas ranked #2 makes no sense, losing their top scorer and 5 players total, seems like a name only pick
Stripper Money U @#3 is a complete joke. the rest make no sense when you take into account of how many players they lose as if that will have absolutely no affect on their teams.

I probably wouldn't have them as high as 2, but they have several good pieces and experience. They lose their top scorer but also return a very good player who sat all year. Plus Azubuike. They were 10-0 vs a good schedule before his injury last year.

For someone that "hasn't been to Rupp Rafters in a year" You sure do know a lot about whats said on there.

I mean, I haven't hidden the fact that I was on there a few times in the past week or so. But all righty.

I LOVE MY UNC TAR HEELS!

We are well above them as a program right NOW (2015-present) and for the foreseeable future.

Cal had his great 2009-2014 run. I don’t see them in a final four anytime soon.
Since 2015...

UK: 1 FF, 2 E8, 1 SS, 1 R32
KU: 1 FF, 2 E8, 2 R32

In the most recent season kentucky beat kansas easily, went 2 rounds further in the tourney and barely lost to a team in the tourney that absolutely eviscerated KU. And has a better recruiting class.

KU fans are borderline too dumb to function.

The whole point was our “present program” or “state of program” is superior to yours, last few years to present and what I see as the next couple years. Whereas 2009-2015 I would give the nod clearly to you all. 2000-2008 would clearly go to us.
Presently? scoreboard. Elite 8.

Big 12 probably won't have one team in the Top 10 let alone 3.

Unless the rest of the conference slips up.
I doubt it. I think the Big 12 is a bunch of great to average teams that will lose a lot of conference games.
Do you mean ‘ranked’ in the Top 10 at the end of the season, or that no team in the B12 will be one of the best 10 teams in the country?

Combination of both.
I look at the rosters of the teams in the Big 12 and see question marks on every single one.
Truthfully I think at this time the only legit Top 10 team is Michigan State nationally.

You are right about the other part. I think 8-9 teams in the Big 12 are capable of beating almost anyone on their home court in 19-2020.

I’d like to see Archie get Indiana to replace Michigan at the top of the B10 now. I don’t see Michigan being really relevant again nationally. Juwan is going to be good, not great. Good window now for Archie to get you guys back up there with Sparty.
Indiana is a dumpster fire.

Louisville returns a lot. Not sure where you got that from.

No, that can't be accurate. The geniuses of Rupp Rafters are confident that no one considers KU a contender.
See, this thread was going fine until this. You can't get UK fans out of your head for 2 seconds.

Then you ruin every thread you post in and UK fans get the blame.

What a childish comment, even for you.

Yes thanks for that one last year. UK gave us great joy :)

No dog in fight....I don’t like KU, UK or whatever concoction of a K and a U you want to put together.
