I wouldn’t want to trade Garrett’s starting spot for a shooter if that replacement isn’t really good at defense. Dotson is an adequate shooter from what I can remember and Agbaji was pretty good as well. I think that most of the offense is going to all come from down low this year anyways. Just having a guy out there that can shoot 40% isn’t more valuable IMO than having a lock down defender that will do a really good job disrupting the opponents backcourt.
Yeah, but having three players with no range on the court at the same time, plus a PG who can't create his own shot and a streaky SG isn't a recipe for offensive success. They'll pack it in and take away a lot of easy dunk opportunities for Azubuike. I will say that, by all accounts, Silvio has expanded his game and could be a mid-range threat, which would help.
Walker is a pretty good defender by the way.
