Not a lot of time to research so I'll go with Kevin McCullar.

Preseason All-SEC Teams

First Team All-SEC
Nick Smith, Jr. – Arkansas – Fr.
Colin Castleton – Florida – 5th Sr.
Oscar Tshiebwe – Kentucky – Sr.

Second Team All-SEC
Brandon Miller – Alabama – Fr.
Jahvon Quinerly – Alabama – Sr.
KJ Williams – LSU – 5th Sr.

I was surprised to see Jahvon Quinerly on the Preseason team. Maybe he is draftable after all? Don't know. Here's what Nate Oats said recently: “I think he’s right on pace. We were hoping to get him back by SEC play. We might get him back earlier.”

Brandon Miller was snubbed from the 1st Team. That's okay. He'll show 'em in a few months.

If I knew anything about any other team I wouldn’t have picked JT. But my time was running out and I’m pretty clueless on rosters this year. All for fun so what the heck.

In all fairness to this board and contest, I take wildlife beatdowns much more seriously than message board bragging rights. I just had a conversation with someone today actually about a persons chances against a black bear, barehanded.

Black bears will usually run away if you square up, they typically don’t want any smoke
Fun fact: I actually have had personal encounters with both a black bear and a grizzly bear. Not at the same time, that's @JimboBBN territory.

After college i went on a big road trip with the girlfriend at the time. Was driving through Yellowstone and a massive Grizzly walks right in front of my SUV. It was as big as the SUV. When it walked past me a crowd started to gather I got out of my car and started walking with the crowd as we followed the bear which was about 50 feet away and down a hill. Crowd of about 20 of following. I realized how dumb that wsa, but at the time I was in my prime and I realized that if that bear charged I could easily outrun at least 18 of those people.

Years later I was staying at my friend's house in downtown Orlando. Yea, downtown Orlando. Went outside at night to smoke a bowl in the driveway. As I'm standing there a black bear just saunters out of the next door neighbors back yard and walks right past me about 10 feet away. I follwed it from a safe distance for about a block, but then I realized I didn't have any people with me I could sacrifice if need be so I went back to the house.

Last years draft seemed to go much faster.

It was much faster, without a doubt. Here's the breakdown from the past 2 drafts

Picks per day
2022: 4.18
2021: 6.59

We actually had a really good start with 11 picks on day 1. But, only 35 picks in the past 10 days. Looking more and more likely that we'll need to lower the draft clock from 24 hours to maybe 12 or 16.

Seriously, why do you have these data? On one hand, I respect the level of detail. On the other hand, you actually make me value my own life more.

Haha well I like numbers and it seriously only takes about 50 seconds to calculate. Finding the page of when the last pick took place last year is the most time-consuming aspect.

Sad to think the Pac 12 could go defunct soon and their last national would have been Arizona back in '97.

Lots of people are thinking RJ Davis is going to see a big bump this year, but still seems a little homerish to think he merits a 1st Round pick. He has to compete with Bacot and Love for stats and All-American honors.
A lot of people are wrong. And lol at Love ever being picked before Davis. Love is streaky af.

I’d be fine with less time if the pick is early in the morning or sometime in the afternoon and 16 if it’s in the evening. If a pick happens at 9 PM there’s no guarantee that the person sees it and is ready by 9 AM so I’d be more inclined to give them a little more time. But if someone has all day to pick then I think less time is reasonable.

All that said, I think the later we go in the rounds theoretically the less it matters if you get skipped once or twice.

Yeah, I'm thinking about moving it down to 16 hours. Might implement at the conclusion of Round 6. That way it's a nice halfway point of the draft.

And your last statement is true. The further this draft carries on, the more likely it is that no one is stealing your next best guy. My 4th best available prospect from when I was drafting at #31 in the 3rd Round is still available. It's almost 20 picks later. You'll see that happen a lot the further the draft goes on.
