Arkansas for the last 3 years Sick

Born in Englewood, NJ. I moved to Chapel Hill, NC when I was 3. Lived in Chapel Hill/Durham until college. Lived in Charlottesville, VA for 4 years at UVA. Moved back to Wilmington NC for Masters. Then, I lived in Tallahassee FL for my PhD. Most recently moved to Russellville, Arkansas for a job.

Did you grow up a Tar Heel fan?

I’m from a small town in NC (Sherrills Ford), joined the Navy, got stationed in San Diego, lived there for 26 years, 11 months in Yokosuka, Japan, moved back to NC in Nov 2006. I thought San Diego would of been my home but with the cost of living rising I needed to make a change.

I am pretty sure that is where one of my coworkers is from. I went with him a few years ago for a weekend. His mom lives in a single wide on the lake, but they got like a 2,000sq ft lakehouse that they use for parties. Haha. It has a dock with a gazebo on it and everything.

Lake Norman is about a mile from where I grew up so yeah I can see that.

Those of you talking shit about Fayetteville have obviously never lived in Shreveport Fvcking Louisiana. #NoGreaterShithole
I've heard that from friends stationed at Barksdale. I've only been to middle-of-nowhere Alexandria, LA.. and that was pretty miserable.

I used to love going to Shreveport. My grandmother lived right on Cross Lake. When I was younger I never had any issues getting into bars there with a fake ID and they all stayed open until 6:00 AM on the weekends.

But you’re right. It’s a shithole.

Sherrills Ford is the hometown of WWE wrestler Adam Scherr aka Braun Strowman

It's true, and it's goooooooood! I do not discriminate. Vinegar, mustard, or tomato-based are all good in my book. Some styles are better for certain cuts of meat over others, IMO.

I wonder how many other states air the Purnell's Old Folk's commercials? I've never seen it down here, and remember it during basically every UK game back home.

They couldn't match the full ride at UNC on account of them not having actual classes there.

Even if they could, UVA >>>> UNC for me. The only reason I was considering UNC over UVA was financial. Once the full ride to UVA came in, it was an easy choice.

As I haven't tried it yet, it wouldn't be fair for me to judge. The thought of it throws me off. I am not a big honey mustard fan, though I like mustard on sandwiches, burgers and hotdogs. I prefer a mustard based potato salad, but for some reason the thought of mustard on BBQ just doesn't sound appealing.

It's not like it's just slathered in mustard like on a hot dog. It's part of the base that is also mixed with apple cider vinegar and other spices, so it isn't overly mustardy. It is tangy though.

Some folks on the Mainboard have convinced me it's worth trying. I'll give it a go one of these days. I have already watched a YouTube video on how to prepare it.

Been living in Chicago since 1995. Grew up in the suburbs so I've always been around here. Looking to move back to the suburbs in the fall, want to get closer to the office and golf.

I can get down on some carolina bbq sauce! I love switching it up. Trader joes makes an awesome korean bbq sauce and a sirachi bbq. I smoke and grill a lot----but Im a dry rub man.
