I just looked him up. If ever there were an Iowa looking player, it’s this guy.

congrats on the commit.

That was my first thought. RollLaugh

I see Iowa’s got one scrub signed for next season. Of course it’s a 6’7 white power forward.

Looks like it’s back to the dark ages for Iowa.

Now i am hearing that we are leading for Xavier Foster.

Kansas is so fvcked

You need to be looking for reinforcements for next week. Bill’s won 6 of 7 vs the Big 10 in the dance. Generally by 20 points. Needed a Trey Burke miracle to steal one.

Feel free to consult with Purdue if you’re curious about how your asshole is going to feel. RollLaugh

I'd be pretty embarrassed if my team had the NPOY and we didn't earn a 1 seed. That's actually pretty pathetic if you think about it.

This is just in the last decade, but I can go back further if you want.........

Naismith Award Winners:
2010- Ohio State/Evan Turner
(2 seed, Sweet 16)

2011- BYU/Jimmie Frederick
(3 seed, Sweet 16)

2012- Kentucky/Anthony Davis
(1 seed, National Champions)

2013- Michigan/Trey Burke
(4 seed, Runner-Up)

2014- Creighton/Doug McDermott
(3 seed, Round of 32)

2015- Wisconsin/Frank Kaminsky
(1 seed, Runner-Up)

2016- Oklahoma/Buddy Hield
(2 seed, Final Four)

2017- Kansas/Frank Mason III
(1 seed, Elite 8)

2018- Villanova/Jalen Brunson
(1 seed, National Champion)

2019- Duke/Zion Williamson
(1 seed, Elite 8)

2020- Dayton/Obi Toppin
(1 seed, sad face no tourney)

The last 4 have all been on 1 seeded teams and finished no worse than the Elite 8.....or didn't play :(

There have been two 2 seeds to have the NPOY in this time frame.

If Garza wins (or Dosunmu), it will mark the 4th NPOY out of the Big Ten, by far more than any other conference since 2010.

Oddly enough, only two NPOYs have led their teams to National titles. Anthony Davis of the dominant Kentucky team in 2012, and Jalen Brunson with Villanova in 2018, whom I don't even remember, outside of Villanova cruising to another title.....

Summary: Year after year, Big 10 has some of the best players in the country but can't win when it counts. Got it.
