4-6. Everyone back. Plus the injured guards. Back to business as usual.

Happ's coming back to anchor a 10 seed in the NCAA?

Go get paid somewhere. NBA, Europe. Or take the grad transfer route to a winner.

Talk about wasting a year of your basketball life.

So I’m assuming you’d say the same thing about Eastern?
Yep. I thnk he has a ton of potential. Look,. Boiler. It boils down to this. You guys lose 4 significant pieces. Not just 2 really good starters, and two who are meh. But four, very good starters. IU returns four starters. One who will probably be among the fav's to winn BPOY. Green has just gotten better and better; though tonight, not so much. Smith has started. And as you ven said, he's going to be really good. McRoberts isn't flashy. But he doesn't make mistakes. Gets tough rebounds. makes winning plays. And as I stated earlier, leds the BT in steals. SO next year we will start Senior, Senior, Junior and a soph. THrow in a nice class, and I just do not see how you think Purdue will be better(than IU). Especially after seeing the improvement they have made. Now they'll have an entire year under Millers system. And IF we lands Romeo---well that changes everything.

I’ll take Haarms over Nunge every day of the week.
if you like players that are limited in scoring and just blocks shots.

next time you trash Nunge check his season stats. before shooting your mouth off. like I said he is still making the move to a 4/5 from the 3. plus he won't be a starter at the 4 until Cook and Pemsl both graduate.

We also bring back some nice pieces including a possible BTPOY in Edwards. Cupboard is far from bare.

We won’t pull a 2017-2018 Wisconsin that’s for sure.
After Carsen, Haarms and Cline----who? I think Purdue could be good. But you guys are going to depend a ton on freshman/soph.

White started as a 4/5 frosh year. Woody came in the next year sliding everyone up. White was back at the 4 exclusively his senior year after melsahn, olaseni, and mccabe left.
but he still played at the 3 for most of his career,

Limited? Lol. Again, blocking shots is a big deal. Why do you always dismiss it?

AS much as Newkirk pains me, hhe's played a big role in this win.

15-12, 8-7. Clinched a bye. Very nice job by Miller with what he has. This team has just gotten better and better. Beenm bad tonight defensively in second half. To many turnovers (17). But nice to see a win when not at our bets, and green not basically playing.

also Nunge won't have to play the 3 next year as Moss will move back his JR season after playing their in his 1st season,

Moss moved and had to learn a new position and now with Wieskamp coming in he can move back to the position he played in HS and played as a FR.

Eastern and then yeah a lot of unknowns. Aaron Wheeler and Sasha Stefanovich come off redshirts and then our freshman class of Hunter, Trevion Williams, and Emmanuel Dowuona

DON'T dismiss it just don't thinks its the end all to BB, as I like to see scoring out of a 7' plus player.

we shall see if Haarms can score next season and rebounds with Haas gone.

Haas did all 3 score, rebound and block shots. Haarms can only block at this time, as he is not ready to carry the team has Hass did in the middle,

you spend to much time ignoring what Hass meant to this team and to much time hyping up Haarms,

Haas is a terrible rebounder AND shot blocker. Seriously? Haarms will be a significantly better rebounder than Haas ever was. Haas averages 0.9 blocks per game. For a 7’2 guy, that’s pretty bad. Haarms averages 2.5 blocks a game.

Like I said, Boiler. You will be depending on a lot of unknowns. Just like this yer with IU. I called for 18 wins. Maybe 20 had things went well. And if not for losses to ISU and FW, they would be on pace for 20; and you can include the loss at Illinois. Even Wisky. We lost Bryant, OG and JBJ. Then Top 50 SG Curtis Jones trasferred. You just don't realize what guys mean to your team until they are gone. You guys are losing four really, really good pieces. I mean expecially with Haas. He was a guy that damn near was an automatic two points. And with that, you had to pick your poison. Becasue he was surrounded by a ton of shooters. It just it what it is.

Look man, you know I shoot it straight most of the time. Yeah I go homer, nad troll at times. But for the most part I keep it real. Me and you have always had a good "realtionship". Just think you guys are really going to have a tough time replacing those four guys.

I never said we’d be better than IU. I think we’ll be a bubble team.

I never said you did. I dunno who it was that put Purdue ahead of IU in the Big 10, TBH. I just do not see that happening. Now it could. But if everyone returns for IU, and with the additions, I thik Indiana has a chance to be really good. You toss in Langford, and they become really, really good.

PG: Simpson / DeJulius
SG: Matthews / Poole

What year is Simpson? I like that kids game. And I thnk Matthews is going to an All-Big 10 guy. No doubt UM has the opportunity to be really, really good.

No way in hell Matthews plays the 2 next year without major improvements to both his handles and his vision. His jumper would also need quite a bit more refinement too.

Can't have a 2 with shaky handles, poor court vision, and a weak jumper.

I think Iggy can/will play the 2 on offense but guard the 3 on defense, unless Poole starts over Matthews which maybe he will.

Simpson will be a junior. Matthews looked really good early on but has a lot of flaws offensively. I think there is a realistic chance of him not starting next year.

We really need Wagner to return because I don't like Teske getting 25 minutes and I really don't have confidence in Teske's backups for next year.

What is the feel on if Wagner and Matthews are coming back. I know some people are quite confident.

I don't think there is any chance at this point in Matthews leaving. His play has been so-so during the Big Ten season. He wasn't listed among the top 100 prospects from a month ago. I think there is a better chance he comes off the bench next year than get drafted by the NBA.

Wagner. Probably more likely to leave than stay, but nobody knows. Kid is possibly a second round guy. I think ESPN had him in the mid 70s last month on their 2018 prospect list.

I don't feel great about rooting for Pedophile State University tonight but I guess I have to to do it.

I don't know. Not sure why anyone would leave because they basically all play
my thought from what I heard [read] Ellingson plans on getting into coaching, this could be a case of giving up BB to become a GA maybe for Fran which is likely to start out at.

then I was thinking that Kriener might give up BB due to the multiple concussion he suffered this season. so I was curious if they was any talk on these 2.
but like you I don't see anyone leaving.

I guess anything is possible. They're still talking about Wagner playing football too

Have a couple season ending injuries to contributors and you will. And Carsen only gets one arm to play with.

I love Haas shooting, but pretty sure he only got 3 rebounds the WHOLE game against OSU. That was with Wesson on the bench with foul trouble.

Exactly. Haas is not a good rebounder nor shot blocker. He’s good at scoring and drawing fouls. He’s not good at rebounding, blocking shots, or playing defense.

Tough away game. Ohio State vs Penn State tonight at 8 pm in University Park, in an attempt to split the season series. The game will be on BTN. Kam Williams is back from suspension and will play but will not start. Beginning of 3 big away games for OSU which will determine the B1G #1 seed. Would love to see them take 2 of 3.
