Do you hold the door open for strangers?

The good thing about the difference in style between Carolina, Texas and KC BBQ is that you could go eat each one for 3 straight meals and hit a craving each time that the other 2 couldn’t satisfy.

They’re all equal, IMO.
Agree. I'm going to throw Memphis bbq in there as well. In a couple of weeks they're have their Memphis in May World BBQ Championship. People from all over come to it.

It's also 4 days long. I always go to it and the Music festival which is 3 days.

So they are not a sanctuary for illegals? The drug problem is not so bad that people shoot up in public like there's nothing wrong with it? The homeless problem hasn't gotten so bad that human piss is effecting the transportation system?

All of that id fake news?
They can be, just like any city. I've seen people shoot up in the midwest and east coast too, so what's your point? I've already shed light on my opinion of the homelessness in SF, and yes it is a problem.

Ok, in sincerity, I apologize to most for that response. I usually try to be tactful when speaking about money. In fact it's a point of issue with me but that's a whole other story. You on the other hand, saying I sound like I'm 12 after trying to call me out on my abilities or lack there of to afford something? Please...
Alright, you sound 14. Happy? Winking

Yeah, I think maybe the reason you have superficial takes is because you actually think it's black and white instead of acknowledging complexity,

I'm not taking the time to research any of your claims. That's on you. However, Kentucky has Republican governor and Kentucky has all these problems. And let's include Mississippi too. Is that a poor state because of Republicans?

You're also completely wrong. California, since its inception, has drawn people seeking life on the new frontier. It was triggered by the gold rush, as well as people trying to at away from the established east coast and Midwest. It's always been alternative because of that tradition.
I've posted links on my claims. All you have to do is check them out. No I'm not talking about the videos.

Kentucky is a completely different animal. Trying to compare Cali to Kentucky is like trying to compare the US to Cuba. Two completely different demographics and economic abilities.

What's the go to spot? I'm sure I could look on google, but I'd rather here from people who've personally had it. Def need to make my way to KC, it's been forever since I've been.
When I lived up in Kansas it Arthur Bryant’s and Oklahoma Joe’s in the KC area. I moved away in 2005 but have heard that there’s a couple of places that have opened since then that are regularly mentioned in those top BBQ restaurants in America lists.

There's 4 main barbecue styles in the US. Here are the main differences (though they aren’t set in stone, as bbq varies within each region and at different establishments):

Memphis

  • Meat of Choice: Pork
  • Wood of Choice: Hickory (Oak, Pecan, Apple, Cherry also used)
  • Famous Dish: Pork Ribs “Wet” (slathered with sauce after smoking) or “Dry” (no sauce, just dry rubbed with seasonings and smoked)
  • Sauce Style: Tomato & Vinegar Base
Texas

  • Meat of Choice: Beef
  • Wood of Choice: Oak
  • Famous Dish: Sliced Beef Brisket, Link Sausage
  • Sauce Style: Spicy & Tangy Tomato Based Sauce with Some Sweetness
Kansas City

  • Meat of Choice: Mix of All Meats (KC has influences from all other regions because of geographic location)
  • Wood of Choice: Mix
  • Famous Dish: BBQ Chicken, Ribs
  • Sauce Style: Sweet Tomato Based Sauce with Molasses
Carolinas

  • Meat of Choice: Pork
  • Wood of Choice: Hickory; Oak also used
  • Famous Dish: Pulled Pork, Whole Hog
  • Sauce Style: Vinegar Based in East; Tomato Based in West; Mustard Based also Served in Georgia & South Carolina

Let me see how this conversation will ultimately end up, here goes...

Right wing posters: California can die in their own natural fire, we would flourish without their liberal non-sense, gat dang commie queers, UGHHH I HATE CALIFORNIA!!! jumpingsmile

Left wing posters: that’s kind of dumb, but proceed with your faux Cali outrage.

Me: eating a burrito in SF, enjoying some sunshine, and a cold brew. God it sucks out here.

Right wing: The U.S. has a lot of resources and assets outside of California. Prices might go up a bit, but the U.S. would be fine in the grand scheme of things.

Left wing posters: Nuh-uh! We're so awesome that the U.S. would rot away and fail without us! Hmpfffff.

Me: LolHippies

Is that weirdo that has a fetish for underage looking girls still saying it's not grotesque to abort a viable 3rd trimester pregnancy?

Russia has been pushing to CA secession for about a decade. They are trying to push political division. Americans are idiots and take the bait.

There will be no secession from CA, it just ain’t happening.

Nope. What happens when the red California farmlands say "umm..... nah, you guys go ahead"? Methinks that economy you guys keep talking about would take a pretty big hit.

None of those groups are exclusively Left... I know a ton of non white, non christian and gay Right people. But the Left media would have you believe they are all on their side...
I have lost the context for this. I don't recall having said anything about left or right with either of those.

I don't buy your narrative of the left-wing media brainwashing us into believing they're all on one side.

Nobody gets to the third trimester unless their intention is to have a child. Late-term abortions are for the heart-breaking situations where a fetus is found to be non-viable. That's merciful.

"They have gone from compassionate welcomers of the needy to enablers of worthless scum and dopeheads."
How have they not become enablers of worthless scum and dopeheads? Seems like you would be able to dispute this if it was not factual.
"it does not endorse the lifestyle of an everyday hard working middle class American."

Again, tell me where I am wrong here. Remember, I said that the policies don't endorse that. Not that it is impossible to be a hard working middle class American in California.

You don’t think any pregnant women ever have a change of heart?

I’m okay with abortion of non viable pregnancies. Are you okay with banning abortion of viable late term pregnancies?
