The UNC stuff should get to anyone that’s a true die hard fan of the sport. The outcome hurt the legitimacy of college basketball pretty bad.
It’s so bad that at a certain point UNC fans stopped arguing about whether or not they cheated and instead started arguing whether or not the NCAA could actually punish them for it. Essentially admitting it was cheating.
Ultimately they were right, the ncaa couldn’t punish them. They found a loophole and exploited it as long as they could. Likely motivated by fear of a rising duke program.
Now those two just go back and forth. UNC cheated for a quarter century then all of a sudden duke wins 2 in five years and are getting pretty much any player they want, a few under some rather suspect circumstances. And won a title with a kid that probably should have been ineligible. Duke is a private school though. Lot harder to go after them too.

AFAM classes were approved & accredited courses that ANY student at UNC could take. Work was required in the class.
Therefore..... wait for it...... UNC did not cheat.
So can I take my credits from AFAM classes during that time frame and transfer them to another accredited school?

So why did SACS put them on probation? UNC told SACS it was an athletic issue, and told the NCAA it was an academic issue. I am still not sure who they lied to.
SACS deemed the classes legit but there were problems. If they hadn't ruled that way then we would of been toast. Some of you don't realize that the SACS ruling was key in all of this. How could the NCAA slam us in saying the classes weren't legit when SACS said otherwise? Also UNC's argument was you (NCAA) have no jurisdiction in determining what's a class and what's not.

Nah, I really don't care what others think so I don't worry about it. Can't please everyone Scotty, you of all people should know this. Your UK homies on the other hand care way more than they should about something that's done and settled.
