I am more mad at the NCAA than I am at UNC, for taking a knee and tucking their tail between their legs and running back to Indy. If there was nothing there, then why spend 5 years looking at it? The selective enforcement by the NCAA is what has soured me on them being able to issue penalties is a non biased way, and there are many examples to choose from.

Biggest scandal in the sport? LMFAO. Okay.

We see how much you all remember Auburn and Michigan's academic scandals that went unpunished.

You guys just have so much salt directed at UNC as a program that you are trying to make it into something it never was.
So you don't know the difference between UNC basketball and the other two programs you listed?

Here's a hint: it's a status thing

Besides that, UNC got away with it for a much longer timeframe, it was created during a hall of fame coach's time there and UNC was always thought of as an upper echelon academic university. For UNC to get caught cheating on academics really makes it so much worse.

Again, I know you UNC fans don't like it, you make yourselves feel better by saying it's no big deal, but it is a big deal.

This sounds like much more of a UK fan thing.
If UNC was in the SEC, you UL fans would be all over it.
You guys are in a pickle right now, you want to be mad at UNC for getting away with it, but you can't, because they're one of your two new daddy's in your new conference.

How stupid is that calling us naive but the ruling went our way? I work with UK and Duke fans and they don’t talk about it but somehow these clowns here think since it’s discussed here it’s the talk of the town everywhere. They don’t understand we won and we are the ones laughing. It seems like they can’t believe it, like it’s a bad dream or something and the butthurt is obvious. Winners aren’t naive and don’t have nothing to apologize for. Bottom line is the ruling was made, we’re happy and the haters are not. Some just can’t/won’t accept it. Another thread will pop up and they will say the same thing proving our point.
You obviously have no idea what naive means do you?
Wow. Yes, the NCAA cleared UNC, but you're NAIVE if you think UNC didn't cheat.
Man, you really are lost. Did you major in AFAM too?

Is that what you’re mad about thinking we cheated? Looks like you may be mad for a while. Laughing

Yea because of what some players he had at those schools done. Again, wasn’t his fault and the NCAA said so! Now do you have a link saying he was found guilty or no???
You have a link where the ncaa said he was innocent?
For someone, that you claim, the ncaa said was innocent, they sure got pissed about him celebrating his 500th win 46 games early.... the same 46 games they stripped from HIS records.

Take a look at the two that liked your post, that should tell you how good it was.

You’re so naive and it’s a shame you don’t see it. We’ll continue to laugh and be happy while you continue to be butthurt and miserable. Misery loves company and you sure have a lot of it.

Yea right lol if this had happened at Duke or UK every UNC fan on the planet would still be talking about it. Hell yall still bring up things that happened at UK 30 plus years ago.Laughing Do you honestly expect anybody to believe that if the scandal at UNC happened at UK or Duke that UNC fans wouldn’t still be rubbing it in if we was let off or not? What was it UNC fans said about Calipari when UK hired him??? Oh yea it was “we don’t care what the NCAA says we know he’s guilty” or “Calipari got cleared by the NCAA but OJ was cleared also and we all kno he done it”. I take it you all don’t like it when the shoes on the other foot.Laughing I’m trying to be nice here and tell you that nobody is obsessed with UNC or pissed that they didn’t get hammered it’s just fun to throw it up to UNC fans because of the years and years of holier than thou UNC fans acting like UNC was above every other school. Everyone knows exactly what the Carolina Way is now and it’s become nothing but a joke to everyone.

I think Secretary of State Rice committee summed it up well:
The committee also urged closing the farcical escape route taken by North Carolina when under NCAA investigation, noting that “member institutions should not be able to shield academic fraud to ensure athletic eligibility by extending that fraud to the entire student body.” You remember the argument: phantom classes were available to anyone, so why take it out on teams whose athletes made up the majority of the enrollees?

Here's that article: https://www.newsobserver.com/sports/article210131174.html

I think that "farcical escape route" is a less polite term for "loophole".

Mic drop.

That 'farcical escape route' wasn't why the NCAA couldn't rightly punish UNC and wasn't why UNC didn't cheat. It is weird that this has been explained so many times and yet people still keep saying the same tired (and erroneous) stuff.

We honestly wouldn’t though. I see only Cats fans obsessing over it. Even their rival in Duke seems to not give a ****.

That article explains it perfectly!

That’s because UK is the dirtiest program ever. They’re just looking for another program to join them in the mud hole.

Coming from the guy who’s dirty enough to create a fake life and a guy who cheers for a school that has fake classes!

Yeah, hence the numerous duke fans posting in this thread. Go like some more Te'o posts.

But you're all in this thread J24. We are throwing our happiness all up in your face and it's killing your punk ass. Try not thinking about UNC for 1 day, it may do you some good. Laughing
What does any of this have to do with my post about duke fans posting in this thread, which runs contrary to what the UL fan alleged?

Who's praising us? I hadn't seen anything like that. No punishment was handed down means....Laughing

Nobody’s praising UNC except for the UNC homers on this board and that’s the point! If a fan of a different team says anything about UNc in a negative light you guys get your nipples hard and start throwing out “No sanctions” which is fine, we get it, you’re proud UNc got away with fraud for decades and won titles because of that fraud. Congrats on being the OJ of college basketball.
