I didn't watch. But man I got to ask. And NOT just you. But the word "fair" just gets me. I had a lady walk up to me the other day(at the grocery store) and says---"Don't you ref basketball"? Yes. Yes I do. She replies---"I thought you did. You do a nice job. What I like about you is you're fair".
There's that word again: "Fair". I mean its a nice compliment. But it's also a sign of how people feel about officials. In any sport. I mean, do some of you honestly think officials really care who wins? I mean sure maybe there a few. Maybe. But for the most part, I cannot think of any official that cares who wins or loses a game. An unbalanced whistle happens. Home teams get calls. It happens. But it is more of a product of missing calls, bad officiating, etc, etc...opposed to being "unfair". Again, there are probably officials who don't like coaches...Have "agenda's" so to speak. But that is far few and in between.
Think about it. You honetly think the guys working the game today decided they weren't going to call the game "fairly"? And before you answer, just think of this: Look at some of the FT/ foul discrepancies UNC has enjoyed(at home). I mean in those games, were the officials not fair?
