Yup!! Allowing Loyola to set up their half court offensive sets is a huge f**king mistake. That handoff and curl at the top of the key is picking Illinois apart.
This looks like northern Iowa vs us in 2010. We zombie walked through the game, northern Iowa was seeded higher than they should have and we got faroukmaneshed. Illinois about to be kutwiged
Loyola is running the pick and roll as close to perfection as you can get. Illinois is going to have to start picking up the pressure ASAP if they want to come back.

Well KU kept it much closer, was in the game until that dagger three. Illinois, not so much, they were down double digit early and never had a chance to win this one at all. Tbh I want them to make a run whether they win or not, just to make the ending a bit more interesting. But seems that, we will have garbage time with 2-3 mins left to play already.

Um in the game against them it was an 8 pt game at half, northern Iowa was up 10 with 6 minutes to go. We didn’t make it a game until the under 4 timeout. But never lead the entire game. This game looks exactly like that one.

Tbh Id be surprised if Illinois cuts this one to a 1pt game at any point in the 2nd half. KU choked, they aint prepared for the game and played into Northern Iowa's hands. Illinois, I aint sure if they actually choked or not, they just got outclassed and it feels like the better team won today.
It's like Illinois didn't have a plan once they fell behind. They needed to press after any score.
If they go down so early, then they just aint good enough. They did lose 6 games in the season though, they got hot at the end of the regular season but seems the streak just ends at a very wrong time.
Really gotta wonder why they didn't go with a relentless press at least off and on. Loyola looked a little shaky dribbling that one up.

They brought some token pressure and then backed completely off once Loyola crossed half court.
