I’ve seen a pretty good amount of Phinisee. I wouldn’t overhype him. Kid is going to take a while to develop. He has the potential to be a very solid BIG point guard, but I don’t think he’s an immediate game changer for you guys. Langford would be.

I like his son a lot more than I like him. Clearly he can get obnoxious with his hyperbole, but you are right in that he has nailed some takes this season. I can take him better in small doses.
I think the Walton situation is going to be the one that nails him, if any. The Payne-Appling one looks bad, but I think he'll have plausible deniability because no charges were brought.
The OTL reports and investigation has definitely shown this culture of denial extends well past Larry Nassar and into the whole athletic dept. The Walton issue is inexcusable. Adreian Payne and Keith Appling more suppression and horrible decisions. MSU needs to clean house with Izzo and Coach D. ASAP. Nothing good with dragging this out.

It’s my understanding they were investigated by MSUPD and ELPD and it was turned over to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office.
Who suppressed it? They were unsuccessful at best.

No, I have no inside information. Just stuck at home recovering from a surgery and reading a lot of news and reports. My opinion is that both Coach D. and Izzo need to go to clean house at MSU. You don’t have to agree with it. That’s fine. I’ve got no personal issue with either, in fact as a big OSU fan I have always liked Coach D.

His refusal to punish his players and coaches when they raped and were violent towards women is part of what fostered this environment in the first place.

Appling and Payne were cleared by police, the DAs office, and TitleIX investigation. Practice hadn't even started yet when they were accused. The victim said she was fine with no charges being filed. If you want every black athlete in college who has doubled up on a girld to leave school, then we'd have no collegiate basketball or football.

I agree with you. My point on Phinisee is that he is a better pg and scorer, right now, than Newkirk and returning guards Greene and Durham. Next year I expect Phinisee to be a competent pg, and a better pg than Durham and Greene.

MSU will be investigated, but nothing will happen to Izzo or Dantonio unless you believe there were secret incidents in which they knew of a crime and sat on the info, which there is no reason to believe right now. Especially considering last year Dantonio immediately reported and suspended every played accused of assault.
What ESPN has been doing to MSU and Izzo the last few days is disgusting. Trying to draw new conclusions by re packaging old news that was already investigated and made public is pathetic journalism.
