why would the AFAM stuff embarrass me? I said from day 1 that UNC broke no rules & as the NCAA ruled, I was right.

Id say both of y’all are a little bit right. About 10% was injury, 40% was bad coaching (Roy letting Cold Anthony shoot shit shots all game long) and the other 50% was Roy throwing his team under the bus and giving up on them. Roy really showed his true colors last season. Knowing he wasn’t even gonna make the NIT so he threw the season away.

I picked 1984 b/c that is what MANY, if not ALL historians consider the modern era of college basketball. Its not MY personal time frame.

You are to emotionally involved with UK basketball to have any type of rational discussion.

Here's the issue with not only you, but other UK fans: You cannot be happy with being revered as the CBB's best of all-time. You have to have it all: Best the past 10 years...best the past 20.....Best the last 6 months, etc, etc...You take as an insult to what Kentucky has accomplished....Why? Well, easy---You're a fan of a program that cannot handle hearing that someone else might be a little better of late. TBH, it hurts your feelings.

You'll get no argument from me. UK is the best program of all-time. Overall,yes. I think its comparable to the Boston Celtics/LA Lakers. Even the Yankee's. All three considered the best of their respective leagues: NBA/MLB. Celts have won 17 NBA titles...Lakers 16. By far the most. Yankee's have won 27 WS titles---16 more than any other team. Hard to argue that those three aren't the greatest of all-time.

BUT.....What I can argue is that they haven't been the greatest the last 10, 20 or 30.. Lakers havent won an NBA title since 2010....Celtics since 2008....Yankee's since 2009. Other franchise's have stepped up. Been better. BUT...It des not change what LA, Boston or the Yankee's have done so OVERALL.

Some just don't wanna hear that. Yet those same, have no issue saying that their team had the best 3 year stretch....or best 5. Or that since Cal has been at UK, Kentucky has done this better, or that. And that is fine. BUT...you cannot have it both ways.







And yes, I understand the Lakers have won 5 titles since 2000. So nitpickers need not apply.
