Keion Brooks

And Cleaves was being offered $$$ from Ed Martin at UM. And it probably would have worked until he got into an auto accident while on a night out with other UM players and recruits and the Martin stink started to become exposed.

I hear that MSU was all but signed with Chris Webber before he was bought by UM at the last hour.

The common thread is that Izzo had years of time invested in these mega recruits. He stays in it until it becomes readily apparent that the camp needs to get paid. Then bows out. Cliff Alexander and Josh Jackson are the two most recent examples of this.

Yeah Michigan State is such a bastion of morality and integrity. Paying players is where Sparty draws the line.

Kentucky has been favored for a long time. I’m not sure if the kid has visited MSU. I know IU falling apart can’t help them.

Brooks has visited MSU double-digit times unofficially. I believe we were his first scholarship offer, 3-4 years ago. He just hasn't visited lately, after MSU cancelled his official in November.

True. Should have said officially visited

I thought Brook

I thought Brooks was a 5 star player which means he has to be a top 25 player. Doesn't sound like a clone to Hunter to me.
Jerome Hunter was ranked 52nd.......Brooks is 27th. Hunter is 6'7", 185lbs.....Brooks 6'7", 195. Brooks is a better athlete/slasher. Tad better in transition. Hunter is a better shooter, better defender. He's(Hunter) more physical. I have seen both play. Both are really good. There is very little difference in the two . Its why I was disappointed he could not play. Would have really helped IU.

Brooks may still pick IU. What is your prediction?

You may be correct. Things seem to be trending toward UK and last night's loss to Purdue plus the treatment the fans gave Purdue and Harms will not help. That is why Cal refused to continue to play IU at ass hall.

No clue. Bossi said today he thinks IU is still front-runner. Brooks, TJD and Franklin are close friends. The talk of playing together has been long discussed. But who knows.

Oh quit with this shit. Its tiresome. Lets quit acting as if IU fans are the only fans to ever show their asses. As an official, I can assure you they are not. And as a fan, I have heard much worse...And yeah, even at UK.

Really. Well I am a season ticket holder and have never experienced at Kentucky what I experienced on my last trip to IU. I was spit on and called every name in the book for no reason other than wearing Kentucky blue.

We shall see. The last few crystal ball picks are for UK. Of course that doesn't mean much but is some positive for UK.

Oh I survived fine but it is stupid what some fans will do over a rivalry.
Agree. Like, ummm, not admitting your fan base has done the exact same thing. I've been all across the country calling games...Observing...And as a fan. I;ve seen much worse....lot less, and a little in between. Kentucky is no different. Maybe should venture up to the uper levels next time. I can assure you, there ain't no choir boys sitting up there.

do you honestly think that UK/Cal would allow the student section to act like the IU student section did the entire game against Purdue?

I agree we have some idiots in our fan base. Everyone has. When our fans started hollering overrated in the UT game Cal told them to quit and they did. What did Archie do when the IU fans started hollering fk Harms. Nothing. That is the difference in leadership.

No clue. You guys have 500 kids in your student section....IU has 7, 000. Much easier to "police" 500 students, right by your bench, than 7,000 who are spread throughout the arena.

Got it....You do realize IU has like 7, 000 students in their "student section". And that they are spread throughout the arena. I mean If the student section comprised of 500 kids, located right next to the IU bench, I'd say Archie would have a little more control.

Even more reason for the coach to stop it. Did Archie even attempt to stop them. The answer is no. The number has nothing to do with the coach addressing the issue with them. And what your fans were hollering was much worse than hollering overrated.

no it is not, that is a cop-out
all it would have taken was for one IU person (coach, security, high level person) to tell them to stop it and it would have ended

the reports say it came from the IU student section
does IU have a student section

BTW students are spread out in every college arena
for you to claim UK only has 500 students at a game is false

So what, you stop the game? Does IU have a student section? Yes. Multiple sections are reserved for the students. It consist of roughly 7, 000 kids. Like I said, it's much easier to police your students when they are located right by your bench.

It kills me how some of you think UK is just the perfect fan base. I mean ever think you cannot always hear what your students are saying....Since there is only like 150 of them?

again all it would have taken was for one adult to act like an adult
you have security everywhere, send them over to shut them up

it sounds like you are the type that allows the crazies to run the asylum
do your children run your household

I can guarantee you Cal would have grabbed the PA system and told them to stop. He has done that before. You mean no one at IU has the guts to call out the students on the PA system especially hollering profanities that everyone can hear. That is just a cop out and evidence of the type leadership you have.

How do you know Miller even heard it? Again, IU has 7,000 plus in their student SECTIONS...There are like 10 or so areas's designated for students only. What was Miller to do---Stop the game, get on the mic, and address the entire arena?

Jesus....EVen if Miller heard it, who does address? Does he go to each section, telling them to stop?

Everybody heard it. Even on TV. Just keep making excuses for the IU leadership. So no one near Archie heard it or no IU assistant coaches or anybody in the IU administration heard it. Really

The IU A.D emailed the students, said he was sickened to what he was hearing. So sad...

he has shown in this thread that he is much more of a fan of the IU fanbase then he is of IU the school/program
what those fans did made IU look really bad on national T.V. even to the point writers are writing about it

he will continue to uphold them

What's that consist of.......50? IU has the largest student section in the country. Its much easier to "police" a few, than it is many.

Man you guys are soft.
I don't know how many but it's more 50. Also, wasn't trying to be soft but offering up information.

Apparently they did....It was addressed.

Jesus....This really has you triggered doesn't it. What's wrong...never heard the word "FVCK"?

Borden, as a stellar ref you are, was that goaltending against LSU to beat us? Would you of called it? It sure looked like it to me without the tinted blue glasses on
