Kansas vs WVU

Never mind literally hugging our players and getting a “warning” from Higgins. Or the blatant push by Carter at the end of the 1st half that stole a possession away from KU allowing for the halftime tie. There were a ton of off the ball fouls that WVU got away with. Every team gets away with them every game. Especially WVU, cause you can’t call them all. The difference in officiating is what kind of shots are being taken. And WVU did absolutely nothing to get to the line. KI drove and drove and/or got the ball to Doke. They got the WVU defense out of position so many times, and that is how you get to the line.

Nobody else wants to talk about that because it doesn't fit the narrative.

A 180 pound kid had his hand on the chest of a 260 pound man.... and he flew across the floor like had been hit by a train.

You need to try wayyyy harder to come up with an example to prove that you're not a blind homer.

The rules aren't interpreted based on weight homes. A foul is a foul. He had to fall to get the ref to call it, but it was a foul for sure. You're the second poster bordering on shit posting ITT...

Post the video if you're so confident it wasn't a foul.

That same guy threw an elbow to the throat of Sags, and it was all good in your eyes. lol

Under the basket? It was called a foul and it was a good call. I'm being entirely objective. You're the one emtionally shit posting all over this thread...

Doog has hung in like a champ, even pointed the finger at Huggs, but why on Earth didn't WVU shooting anything inside the paint?

I counted 14 total shots in the paint (practically gifted one). If anything, Mountaineers had a height advantage.. KU pimping one dude over 6'7.5"..

These two KU/WVU games have left me smh

Seriously???

Take this homer shit to the KU board.

1) Give me the 5 seconds before that, too.

2) Putting both your hands on a player is a foul. Remember when you were bitching about "freedom of movement"?

3) I never said he didn't flop, I said it was a foul. It is.

Just stop.

This isn't....

And neither is this...

What video are you looking for?

Already shown Miles getting hammered taking it to the rim with no call.

Already shown Dok pushing a guy in the back with no call.

What would you like to see?
What about your guy hugging Newman and getting a warning instead of a foul? Or the late “rebound” he got by literally shoving Svi out of bounds preventing KU from going to the half with a lead? Or the time he hit Garret in the head on a layup that should have been an and one? Carter could have fouled out by halftime for all the no-calls he got. We could go all night on this back and forth. But at the end of the night, it comes down to shots. Huggins should have seen that they weren’t getting to the line, and emphasized getting to the paint. But he didn’t. It was the same. Jump shot after jump shot. Even the few times you got it to the paint, your team settled for leaning or fadeaway jumpers rather than forcing your way to the rim.

Man, next time you're in Denver, lemme know. I'll get something to you that'll help you enjoy your night.

I smoked weed damn near every day of my life from the time I was 14 until I was 22.

10 years later... and I've never wanted to take a blunt to the face as bad as I do right now.

I'd be willing to entertain why those second two are fouls. I don't think you can be objective. You already admitted you're drunk so your credibility is shit.

Here's the verbiage from the actual rule book:

Art. 5. It shall be illegal to extend one’s arms fully or partially, other than vertically, so that the freedom of movement of an opponent is hindered when contact with the extended arms occurs.

You can try and tell me it isn't a foul, but dude extended not one, but two of his arms into Dok limited his movement. It's a foul regardless of Dok's actions.

WVU + excuses

Automatic foul with two hands
Only pertains to a person with the ball. But there is this:

A player shall not use his hand(s) on an opponent to inhibit the freedom of movement of the opponent in any way.

Seriously??? two free throws?

Take your homer shit to the KU board.
Well it was two fouls because we were in the double bonus. Yes he did flop, but it was a foul. They called Svi for the exact same thing the previous time down the court. You seem to forget about that. He only did it once and got called for the foul. Your player there did it a couple times before getting called for the foul.

That's why I posted the actual rule. I know I was right. It was a foul.

WVU is ranked 333rd in the country in free throw rate. Their whole system is predicated on pressurized, gambling defense. They jacked up 26 3’s. They still led by 10 points with under 4 minutes. But.... its the refs fault.

Be real....

Did WVU get the shaft tonight?

And for the 50th time. I'm not blaming the refs. We gave KU the game. The game was called the same way for 40 minutes. We were good enough to still be up 12 with 9+ to go. We just stopped running offense.

Why not what? No smoking?

I got high every now and then over the last decade... but it's been a combination of jobs where I thought I would be drug tested, or southern bell girlfriends that wouldn't come near me if they knew I liked to get high. Moved around too... hard to find a good hook up. Atlanta is a shady city. I could meet the coolest drug dealer ever, or get shot in the head and robbed for the entire $12 in my wallet. lol

Because I'm right. You should read the rule book. Or at least the rule I posted, would eliminate a ton of needless arguing.

This is where a less-lazy version of myself posts a link to the KU home board....

Bea real about what Doogie? The example you used was bad. That was a foul. I didn't watch the entire game. I mean 30-2 is crazy, yes. But from what I did see, it seemed as if KU attacked, and WVU settled. I mean you would think a team in a game such as this, would shoot more than 2 free throws. But when roughly 80% of your shot attemts are jump shots/3point shots, your just not going to get a ton of calls. Then throw in the four free throws for the technicals....then the other 5 or so when WVU was forced to foul, and the difference becomes smaller. But yes, two free throws is kinda of odd.

35-2....

These aren't?

And believe me... I could pull up plenty more clips like those.

You were. Not about the two hands. But the rest, yes.

Disagree. Appendix III Section 4(b) When a defensive player puts two hands on an opponent, it is a personal foul.

Regarding Dok's post @doogie503 posted, here's an argument for why it is NOT a foul. You know, based on rules, not just my opinion:

An offensive post player is permitted to post up with his arms bent at the elbow when attempting to free himself to receive a pass. An offensive player may not use a straight arm to ward off a defender. Appendix III, Section 3 (h)

Ref did not call the foul when :Lamont put his hands on Bookie, he called the REACTIONARY foul when Bookie flopped.

It was so bad man.

I can't believe you are having to explain this again. Did we get some calls at home? Yes. Was it near as bad to the extent some were making it out to be? No and it's not being bias either.

You could be right. The net (a foul being called) is the right outcome, however.

okay, so lets talk about the fouls not being called tonight...............did you happen to notice any NOT being called? I sure as hell did..........

Also, how about this.......

How many steps do you count?!

I thought WVU should have attempted closer to 10-12 FTA. But on the flip side KU probably had another 20 FTA more if they called the missed ones against WVU.

Well it is a gateway for some. My old buddy used to go to parties with a six pack of Pepsi. Wouldn’t even drink a beer. He got high once, loved it so much he had to try everything else.

But I still don’t think it’s a good reason to outlaw it. I enjoy it myself from time to time. My buddy is more of an example of how you gotta ease into things. You can’t just go from being a square to getting blitzed. It’s not a good idea.
