How many Favorite Teams have you had in your lifetime?

College bball: Cuse (and Iowa ;) )

College fball: Miami, Penn State, Cuse

NFL: Rams, Eagles, Cowboys, Broncos ( probably 2 or 3 others)

NBA: Sixers, Knicks

MLB: Yankees

I don't pretend to have much/any loyalty to pro teams. In the absence of a hometown team in Central NY, I always considered it silly to be loyal to one team. I root for specific players instead.

One. Duke.

For hockey I've always just loved any good game, as long as I like the goalies. Brodeur vs Hasek was one of my favorites.

Translation: are you an actual fan or have you/are you been a tshirt bandwgoner?

The only allegiance that has changed for me is my college team. I was born in NJ (gross) but moved to NC when I was 3. I grew up in Chapel Hill and was a UNC fan until college. Then, I went to UVA and everything changed.

College - UNC first, UVA forever
NFL - Panthers (can't remember if I even cared about NFL before expansion but Panthers are probably second on my list behind UVA)
NBA - Hornets (don't care too much - follow UVA players more than teams)
NHL - Hurricanes (couldn't care less)
MLB - Mets (couldn't care less - my Dad grew up a Mets fan though)

It's amazing how much more I care about UVA than any other sports teams. And I follow EVERY UVA sport, some more than others obviously. But I've watched and/or followed every sport in which UVA competes. I was upset when UVA lost the national championship in men's tennis one year. I'm pathetically diehard.

I'm curious about all sports, but especially changes in any given sport, particularly college basketball of course.

College all sports UK.
MLB, NFL are both Cincinnati
NBA I've been more of a fan of certain players, than so much so, any particular team.

Cleveland Browns with Otto Graham
LA Rams with Bob Waterfield
KC but I really don't give a shit about the NFL, MLB, or the NBA today. Although when the Royals and Chiefs are good the town is happy.

Phil 76ers with Wilt
Lakers with Wilt, Baylor,West
Cin Royals with Bog O
No other NBA since then.

KU basketball since 1952. Always have been a college basketball junkie.

College: born a DePaul fan. Became a massive Indiana fan as a teenager cause of Season on a Brink, loved Knight. From there became a big Duke fan because of Coach K connection to Knight and Chicago. became a big LSU fan after hanging with their fans during first round weekend of NCAA at Rosemont Horizon in 1987. Fell out of love with Indiana and Duke in the 90s, but still like LSU.

NBA: Bulls diehard during MJ days, but stopped giving a shit after Rose injuries. They are still my team, but I am patiently waiting more tank years till they are worth cheering for again. Now I follow players I love, specifically Lonzo Ball and Trae Young. So I watch every Lakers and Hawks game. Also watgch a lot of Doncic and Dallas.

NHL: started out as an Islanders fan since I was a right winger and they had Mike Bossy. Grew out of that and became a Hawks fan as a teen. Finally paid off with 3 Cups in the past 10 years. Jumped off the bandwagon again last year as the team went to shit, haven't watched a Hawks game since.

Baseball: Grew up a diehard White Sox fan. Gave up on baseball after my team finally won a World Series and I realized I no longer had to watch that shitty sport ever again. haven't been back.

NFL: started out a Bears fan during their Super Bowl, started disliking that team soon after. In college at Oklahoma my freshman year I fell in love with a little known RB at rival school Oklahoma State named Barry Sanders. Followed him to the Lions and had to suffer through being a diehard Lions fan for a decade. After Barry retired I pretty much gave up on NFL and haven't been back

TL:Dr = I'm a huge bandwagon/fair weather fan and proud of it. Too much competition for my entertainment time to be spent watching shitty teams.

Kentucky
Pirates during Van Slyke / Barry Bonds era

Bills because family friend played on teams that couldn’t win Super Bowls in early 90s

Yankees because they are bad ass bosses

Pistons because of Prince and the 04 team

Borussia Dortmund because they are the Kentucky fans of Germany

Louisville City because you couldn’t get it

Pittsburgh Penguins because I just saw them play and had no idea what I was watching but they are still cool
