Best team of the SEC goes to OT against 8th best B1G

actually Iowa was the 6th best team in the BT. Iowa returns all 5 starters and 3 more of the top 8.

In reality they’re 8th best. That’s not a bad thing it’s a tough conference as everyone knows.

4 SEC teams in the sweet 16...

OSU has to pull off a big upset or Big 10 will only have 3.

SEC is 2-0 vs the Big 10 in the NCAAT..................... EDIT forgot UF... 2-1

Big 10 has shown well.....Maryland and Iowa took the two of the 3 SEC's top dogs to the wire. Both are young teams(MD/Iowa). Aside from Wisconsin getting their asses handed to them, Big has been solid.

Yeah, to big10 teams.
is that why they have 3 teams in the sweet 16 while BT Team MSU beat BT team Minnesota to reach the sweet 16.

I am very happy with Iowa's season after last seasons disaster
4-14 BT and 14-18 overall and a T-11TH to 10-10 BT with a 6th place finish and a 23-12 record.

Iowa could return everyone for 10 years and they still arent making a final four. so what does it matter?

no Iowa just turned the heat up and Tennessee wilted. Iowa finished 6th in the BT not 8th.
No doubt, like I said, Fran made great halftime adjustments, but, UT did not play the beginning of the second half with the fire they had in the first half and Iowa knocked them on their heels.

It's really tough to maintain your intensity when you are up by 20 and getting anything you want.

Tenn thought they had the game won and coasted. Once it got to OT... tenn beat that azz once again to win.
Or you could look at it as Iowa getting the vols biggest hope into early foul trouble like they are known for doing and then failing to execute their overtime shots to seal a win. If Iowa got the timeout just before overtime they would have won that game and embarrassed the vols.
