It was a bad call that was obvious on replay, one of many that night, and it was a whistle swallow on a cross court baseball pass with 2 seconds on the clock, against the road team. It’s really not that egregious, man.

I thought this as well. The turnover in the trap without calling the time out. The near A&M steal near the end of the game on the inbounds, the missed FT's. The last minute or so showed UK's is all freshman and two sophomore....and short handed.
Doug Shows would've called the foul if he wasn't scared of Big Blue Mafia. That's how we roll. Get used to it.
In other news, this team is quietly improving every game. PJ Washington has been consistently good and looks better every game. He's arguably the most important player at this rate.
People talk about how UK lacks a go-to guy. I see that as a good thing. All great UK teams lacked a go-to guy because just about all of them can be that guy.
This team doesn't have as much talent (or even close) as 96,12,15... but is in the realm of '14... and that's gonna set up for a gnarly '19 in just about any scenario.
Add a Vanderbilt at 2 months and this team will be legit.
The WVU game in Morgantown could be a turning point.

Well, Borden is pissed off because he has to sleep with one. Takes it out on us.
It was a bad (no) call. College officiating is the poorest of any of the major sports (NBA, NFL, NCAAF...), and its not even close IMO. I don't watch enough MLB, but I'm sure they are better at it too.

I'm still giddy that UK beat a team, that is only two weeks out from being top 5, with only 7 scholarship players available.
With only 7 scholarship players, UK out rebounded the second rebounding team in the entire country.

Neither one of those things happened. I made a statement about what happened in the game, a statement much like saying something as simple "Doug Shows called a travel".... I said Shows tried to bait Cal into a tech (which he did), then I called him a chode for it. Nowhere did I complain about the call or what it should have been. But you (I'll be specific and mention the appropriate people and not lump people into one group like you) can't help yourself to complain about the same thing in every UK thread, even when it's nowhere to be found. Basically both of your responses are saying "it's ok we accused you of complaining about officiating even though you actually didn't, because sometimes UK fans do blame and complain about refs".

I don't think there was really an advantage in this one. I don't think the whistle was lopsided.
A&M comes in and plays us physical every year. Davis typically gets away with all kinds of stuff in the paint and this game was no different.
Plus Gabriel was victimized by at least 2 bad calls during the course of the game. Only fair they blew one in his favor to even it out.
I don't know. I've kind of felt like conference officiating crews have allowed other teams to dictate how the games are going to be called against us on a pretty consistent basis and UK is the ones that have to adjust game to game.
So many coaches that play us tough or beat us over the years cite playing "physical" as a game plan. I think college officials give the less talented teams the benefit of the doubt in those scenarios. It's like they allow them more leeway for physical play because they know the less talented team is at a disadvantage in a finesse sport.
We could also call the Gabriel no call karma for the bs tech on Humphries a few years ago.
Initially I wasn't so upset about that but I've seen guys slam the ball in a similar or worse manner at least a dozen times since then and not a single tech called for it. Infuriating. We've been owed one against A&M ever since. Got it tonight I suppose.
