Tomorrow, NIKE joins the cheating party.

Count me in the "worried" camp.
There will never be anything connecting K to any of this so I'm not worried. Players may have taken money from Nike (and my guess is roughly any top 50 recruit has gotten something from a shoe company) but the staff won't be implicated. NCAA won't do anything to Duke, we are good... Some small time program will get hammered though.

Top 8 players are the ones worth the most money........ We sure as hell arent paying PJ or Nick Richards.........

Don’t you literally have two top 8-10 players committed for next season? Lol. And wasn’t montgomery at #6? Either way, no one has suggested any time frame so who knows.

Cleveland State is about to get hammered for this.

Duke does their cheating on the court. USF was cheated out of a win last night.

So only guys who did not go to your school?

Was Zion even a Nike guy?
No he was Adidas. He was a Kansas lock supposedly, then the Adidas junk came out, buzz shifted to Clemson, and he shocked the world by committing to Duke.

Oh, it goes WAY beyond top 8 guys. Don't fool yourself. I know a guy connected to NJ basketball who said that Andre Sweet got 50k to go to Duke. None of you likely remember Sweet. He was not top 8.

Keep hoping. The Cards are the ones that should be worried. Caught paying players while on probation. Deep trouble coming for Louisville.

I could see Capel being nailed to the wall for it, but I don't think Coach K would be caught on wiretap discussing that kind of thing. I have to think that he's smarter than that.

Under the rules of strict liability, the head coach is responsible for the actions of their staff. Of course, this wouldn't be applied to Duke, but it was used against Calipari.

Keep hoping. Says the one who does nothing but make posts like that ^ all day.

They are all getting paid from somewhere.......... but nike hasnt been helping us since their guys are mad we didnt play in the PK80. Cal's been trying to mend the bridge but who knows if thats happened yet.

Nike doesn’t care. They still want guys playing there.

Kyjeff agreed with me......... that constitutes the bare minimum for "WE" also Im confident more posters than just Jeff and I know you are praying UK gets in trouble.

You are so insecure. Not once did I mention Uk until you or your brethren brought them up. You know, Duke is a Nike school as well, so is Oregon and Arizona. Jordan Brand is a Nike affiliate, so UNC as well. But no, you are the one claiming I’m all for Kentucky, yet no mention from me of that. Just you implying it.

Your insecurity is showing so bad. It’s almost as if you’re afraid of something, which is why you are now trying to spin this Top 8 narrative and Nike hate’s Cal spiel.

Get a grip.

Don’t act like you aren’t begging for Duke to get hammered. Are you going to admit that?

Wait... so are you saying Cal got cut off? Or that Nike no longer provides you guys with gear?

Dude, UK is one of the crown jewels for Nike. It would be REALLY unlikely that Nike is cheating to help a bunch of schools, but maybe the most famous school in their roster and the one which has recruited better than nearly anyone else for the last decade is clean.

All we do know is that UofL is in deep trouble.

Sources told ESPN that the AAU coach is Gary Franklin of the California Supreme program in Los Angeles. Franklin's former players include NBA players Deandre Ayton (who played at Arizona) and De'Anthony Melton (USC) of the Suns, Solomon Hill (Arizona) of the Pelicans and Aaron Holiday (UCLA) of the Pacers. He also has coached several current college players, including Oregon's Bol Bol and UCLA's Shareef O'Neal.

Franklin didn't immediately respond to text messages from ESPN.

LOL... does Montgomery look like a top 8 player? ... also 1... according to Rivals... Whitney is 8 and Maxey is 9.

Does it matter what they look like after they get into college? I thought this whole Nike situation was about paying HIGH SCHOOL players/families who are now in college, oh wait, it is. Not saying that Montgomery got paid, but I doubt Nike stares at the Rivals/247 rankings and uses that to effect whether a kid gets paid or not.
