Tomorrow, NIKE joins the cheating party.

What is Avenatti's connection to all of this? Isn't he the Stormy Daniels lawyer?

No idea, but Wetzel responded to him so that gives him a bit of credibility. Had no idea who he was at first.

It would be more meaningful if Rachel Maddow or Maxine Waters held the press conference than it would Michael Avenatti.

I really don’t care anymore. Anyone who is competing at the highest levels is cheating in some way.

For real though, I do wonder just how big these names in college basketball are he is referring to. IIRC, the same thing was said a year and a half ago about the Adidas schools and it ended up being Oklahoma State and like Auburn or something. Somebody refresh my memory on that. Kansas only ended up getting involved later on down the line because they were named by a guy on trial. There wasn't any proof of any wrongdoing by them (yet). This tweet reads like he's got proof already and is going to name names.

So irresponsible that they continue to mention UNC with the FBI stuff. Just no accountability. Lazy stuff.

I cannot believe a word this guy says is true. If by chance he has anything at all---it will be for a small fry, but he will include a few name drops without any direct evidence to get some run. Its no secret that the largest and most popular shoe company is involved, but it doesn't mean anything without evidence. Sounds like he did everything he could to get out his bombshell release before they announced he is being investigated for extortion against nike for trying to bury what info he does have.

Avenetti is calling their bluff after they rejected his extortion attempts.

About to reveal Nike secrets, gets charged and arrested within 2 hours of the tweet.

Who cares that he got arrested. He got arrested for trying to blackmail them. I’m interested in what he knows. It would be dumb to blackmail someone if you don’t have anything, right?

The timing of these "breaking news" press conferences / news releases is always so damn convenient...

Well, you have two people to believe. The word of a disgruntled ex Nike employee and the word of a creepy porn lawyer who has zero credibility and is known for exploiting others for his own financial gain. Unless there is hard evidence that can be legally obtained by a third party, what they have would probably never make it past a grand jury if it made it to one at all.
