Na he was always a bit overrated imo I mean he was a solid player don’t get me wrong, just not a superstar (hence why no one has heard his name in years as u put it), it’s just the precedent the ncaa made or broke or whatever. There’s a reason Sandy Bell is the only compliance employee known by name in the entire nation, and it’s not solely bc she’s good at her job.
The point is if the ncaa will let Morris come back and play when he straight up forfeited his eligibility, they will have no problems letting Sarr play next year.

Just for kicks and giggles here were my under the radar picks that I made back in November of 2017 - these are ACC guys that weren't top 100 recruits. Looks like I was right on most of these, except for Djogo and Cole (good athletes, but not great basketball players). I had Olivier Sarr as one of the unheralded freshmen that could make a splash. Not bad.
Jermarle Baker was granted immediate eligibility to play for Arizona last year and that was because UK did exactly what you said.
Marquette apparently didn't like the Hauser brothers transferring, so they sat last year.
I'm just now going through this thread, so maybe this has already been stated, but Manning convinced Sarr to stay in school instead of entering the draft, WF waited until just after the deadline to declare for the NBA to fire Manning. That's pretty dirty. Hopefully the NCAA sees what that did to Sarr.

Also, if you look at those cases, you will see Calipari was cleared both times. He didn't have knowledge of the things those two did.
