***Round of 32 - Monday Games Thread***

Easy to say in hindsight but this is the type of performance I saw coming from FSU tonight. Had a few pedestrian games in a row, it's hard for a team this good to do that three games in a row. Also, when teams go insane from 3 one game, they don't usually continue that into the next game, and of course our defense is better than Georgetown's. Doesn't mean I wasn't nervous until that last minute, looking forward to seeing what we can do against Michigan

I didn’t. Teams been playing like trash lately. Glad they got it together. It wasn’t Polite to beat Colo like that.😉

FSU has a very ceiling. They have the potential to be elite on both ends. They just haven't clicked. Good thing is they've already won a lot of games even with things not clicking. They would be tough to beat if they can start clicking on both ends.

Insert "they got lucky with a once in a lifetime performance" excuse
Nah, they haven’t done anything exceptional. KU just can’t score against their length. It’s the same reason why KU fell behind by 15 to a bad Kentucky team. We really struggle shooting over length. You can see me saying it in multiple threads on here. I would be very surprised to see KU win this game. I’d pick us over Michigan before I’d pick us over USC.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for the offensive explosion that we're capable of. MJ has been the key to the downturn, he just isn't even getting shots up. but he shows heart and does other things for us. Going to be a long 5 days of waiting, I'm sure we'll get the nightcap since it is two big name schools, especially if Kansas loses tonight

Might give you the 2:30 Sunday game since the other three games will involve west coast teams

Dude who’s hit 12 threes all year has three midway through the first half. Never fails.
And then the dude falling, hanging in the air and somehow flips the slop in. Happens to us quite often, then like clockwork these same teams throw up brick after brick after playing us.

Defensively we can improve some, but it hasn’t been bad. We could really use Wilson in this game, but no, he picks up two touchy fouls immediately.

Wilson is not ready to play. He’s the only guy on our team who can score against length, so of course he is the guy knocked out by covid. I sometimes think that Danny and the miracles cursed us.

There it is
It is what it is man. I watched USC play a couple times this year. They couldn’t hit shit. Missing wide open looks. But tonight? Well they’re playing KU, so of course dude who hits 12 threes all year is 4-4 and hitting step back buzzer beaters.

This shit might be over. It's a shame USC and Oregon are matched up in the S16

Dude...Kansas is getting run out of the gym. Nobody wants to hear your excuses
