The Big Ten is going to be TOOOUGH this year. Every road game will be tier one. The BIG has 6 top 25 teams and the next 3 in others receiving votes are in the Big Ten. In other words, the BIG has 9 teams that could be the higher seed in the NCAAT. However, I think the top of the ACC beats the entirety of the BIG. Here are my rankings:

1. ACC
2. BIG
3. SEC
4. Big 12
5. Pac 12
6. Big East (or are they a mid major at this point )

Agree with your rankings OP, although SEC and B1G are tied at #2 in my book.

The B1G will appropriate itself.

If we go by average rank of each team, the big 12 would be number one.

But if we are talking about final four type teams, I think the ACC has the most.

I'll take a combination of the two and go with:

ACC
Big 12
B1G
SEC

The others are mid majors.

The Big XII is ten teams with 7 having a chance at the NCAA tournament.

So...
You are playing 12 or 14 games against NCAA quality teams out of 18

Highest percentage in the country.

B1G.... RollLaugh

B1G is well below the Top 3

The ACC has 9 teams in the top 30 of KenPom. So we have almost as many teams in the top 30 of the country as the Big 12 has in their conference. Of those nine, 4 of them are in the top 8.

ACC has as many teams in the top 8 as the combined number of Big 10, Big 12, SEC, and Pac 12 teams in the top 10.

The ACC has more teams in the top 8 than the Pac 12 has in the top 40.

Big east has been a Top 3 conference every year since its split, but is bad this year. 6th is fair and accurate at this point.

I expected this to be down year for the Big East, but this is gross. Sucks for the other schools to also be bad during Villanova's worst year in the last 6. We might still win the thing.

I hate to tell you....

But there is not enough Data to really determine where teams rank this early.

Just look at Nebraska.
Some supposed "computers" had Nebraska as a 2 seed

Still early, but my eyes like
1. ACC
2. SEC
3. B1G
4. B12

However, the RPI ranks them
1. Pac12
2. SEC
3. ACC
4. B12
(5. American)
(6. CUSA)
(7. nBE)
(8. b1g)

lol, RPI

And Sagarin has

B1G
ACC
BIG12
SEC
BIG EAST
PAC 12

That is much more accurate than RPI

You measure a conference by depth.

The depth of the Big XII is much stronger than elsewhere.

The bottom of the Big XII is beating opponents from other conferences.

Relax. I was making a dig at UF. It was a joke.

You know, must of us on this board do understand and follow basketball.

The B1G’s average is certainly weighed down by how shitty the bottom teams are.

Top 10 in the B1G > top 10 in the B12, though.

Top to bottom this may be right but I think just looking at the top 4 teams in each league the Big 12 ranks over SEC and even with the BIG.

I don't see it with the B1G
Y'all were promoting Nebraska as a Top 5 team in the B1G

Besides the Michigan schools I don't think there is any real depth
Not even Iowa.
Their guards will get eaten alive against good Big XII schools

Y’all were promoting West Virginia as a top 5 team in the Big 12

I wasn't...
WV loss both their guards and replaced JC with a 3 star freshman.

I knew they would have issues.

But...
I agree with your premise overall because the conference as a whole did and even had them #3.
That is out of respect for Bob Huggins.
By the end of the year WV should be a good team.

TCU lost to Lipscomb but Carsen Edwards would get eaten alive by TCU.

Ok, we get it.

So then TCU?

Kansas State struggled with Denver
West Virginia lost to buffalo and western Kentucky.
TCU lost to Lipscomb.

I think you’re overreaching on how good the Big 12 has looked.

Pretty much agree with this. SEC could have an argument over the B1G.

The B12 is good. However, you haven't been paying attention if you are ROFL on the B1G. It's very good this year. Much better than years past. Just don't have that top tier team to win it all but several teams can make a deep March run.

Yes but I don't see how it can have the B1G over the ACC. Although at least one highly ranked ACC team did just go down to an unranked team if I'm not mistaken. Still, ACC has IMO the best team in the country. I don't care if they just lost. They are still the favorite to win it all IMO.

Too bad we can't just cut out our bottom 4 teams. We'd be much more respected as a conference. Might make RPI as a rating system not as shitty either. Actually nope, it's still shitty.

Michigan St
Michigan
Wisconsin
Indiana
Purdue
Ohio St
Maryland
Minnesota

All of these teams are playing quite well. Some still have some proving to do, but all have looked very good at times.

We will see this week a lot about the B1G....
Our post won't matter much after this week.
Either the B1G proves itself or it won't.

The Big XII doesn't need to because it will be once again 1 or 2 in conference RPI.
Yep, RPI is SOOOOOO good that the committee decided to completely stop using it.
