Ranking all high-major conferences

Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maryland, Ohio State, and Nebraska are a really solid 1-10.

It’s not our fault that Penn State, Rutgers, Northwestern, and Illinois suck.

You riding from Michigan State's dick again.
Michigan St already took it in the face from Kansas.
Beating the third or fourth best team in the Big XII doesn't mean much.
I wouldn’t call losing 92-87 taking it in the face, but okay lol.

No one is saying Kansas isn’t the best team, between both conferences, but the Big Ten is much better.

Michigan and Michigan State are comparable to Kansas and Kansas State, and then the Big 12 just falls off.

The Big XII is ten teams with 7 having a chance at the NCAA tournament.

So...
You are playing 12 or 14 games against NCAA quality teams out of 18

Highest percentage in the country.

B1G.... RollLaugh

B1G is well below the Top 3
Outside of Kansas the Big 12 is trash

Still early, but my eyes like
1. ACC
2. SEC
3. B1G
4. B12

However, the RPI ranks them
1. Pac12
2. SEC
3. ACC
4. B12
(5. American)
(6. CUSA)
(7. nBE)
(8. b1g)

lol, RPI
Way too early for the RPI to be an accurate metric, and I'm not too sure how accurate it is in the first place.

You measure a conference by depth.

The depth of the Big XII is much stronger than elsewhere.

The bottom of the Big XII is beating opponents from other conferences.

And shitty teams from other conferences (see: Lipscomb) are beating teams projected to finish top 5 in the Big 12.

Billy Donovan > Shaka Smart. Not close. Are you that dumb?

Billy Donovan didn't make the NCAA Tournament his first Two years at Florida.

Like I said Shaka Smart believes he has better athletes than everyone else and he will use those athletes to force teams to play his style.

Problem is that certain players at Texas still want to waste shots.

If Texas kept feeding Hayes and Sims down low Michigan St wouldn't have been able to get back in that game once the turnovers stopped.

You have to give Michigan St's guards and Tom Izzo credit .
But not everyone is starting two senior guards

Stopped taking this post serious when you double downed on your Shaka Smart / Billy Donovan comparison.

also, Cassius Winston and Josh Langford are juniors. Quit making shit up.

Its always really funny to witness someone the moment they regret getting into an argument with Hail lol.

The point is about the styles they play...
Took Billy Donovan three years to get his teams at Florida to play his style.
Shaka Smart plays a very similar style to Donovan.
Actually coached under Donovan.

Point is Shaka Smart needed his players to play his style and actually finally has them.

I thought Langford is a senior.
But McQuaid is a senior so in their backcourt they have 1 Senior and 2 Juniors.

Point is very few teams have that type of experience in the backcourt.

So...my point still stands.

Big XII has right now 4 Sweet 16 capable programs.

Did I mentioned the bottom of the Big XII just owned LSU.

Oklahoma St is by far the worse team in the Big XII.

You have to be trolling. You can’t even admit you were wrong about MSU’s guards. Instead, you say Mcquaid is a senior as if he is who you were talking about brining MSU back vs Texas. That was Winston and Langford, not Mcquaid.

I said when Texas was up by 17 Michigan St would comeback.

I saw the writing on the wall.
I have a post on here to verify my claim.

McQuaid was a part of it just as much as the other two guards.
Especially on the defensive end.

Texas lacked the ball movement.
Don't know the peak of Michigan St but Texas won't get any further than the Sweet 16 if they don't get better in the half court offensively

Mcquaid played just as good as Langford?

Stick to the football board.

You are funny....

You know why Michigan St won that game...

Because they prevented penetration.
Texas' guards for the most part were kept to the three point line.
They are at best 30% shooters.

None of them are 50% shooters.

So....
If you keep Texas shooting jumpers you will always win the game.

So...

McQuaid was just as important even though he wasn't huge on the offensive end.

Big 12s worst team just beat SEC top 4 team. That's why the big 12 is in the conversation for best conference. No gimmies in conference.

Home team will be favored in almost every game not involving Kansas, and probably most of those as well.

I think before conference play starts, every team will be in the running for a tourney bid. That is some serious depth.

Better top to bottom but the top 10 in the B1G are as good as the 10 Big 12 teams.

Just stop. When you said “not every team will have two senior guards” you were referring to Langford and Winston. Own it and move on.

Top 10 Conferences according to the RPI rankings:

1. Big East
2. Big 12
3. Big Ten
4. ACC
5. SEC
6. West Coast (Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, BYU, San Francisco)
7. Pac-12
8. Southern (Furman, UNC-Greensboro, Wofford, ETSU)
9. American
10. Mid American

Pac-12 sucking like usual. Oregon, Washington, USC, and UCLA not overly impressive to start the season. I will say Arizona State looks pretty solid. Anyone seen Lugentz Dort play yet? Dude looks awesome. If he's not already on NBA radars, he should be.

Better top to bottom but the top 10 in the B1G are as good as the 10 Big 12 teams.
Agree. Big 10 prob better 2 to 10 honestly.

Tech looks like the second best team in the b12 right now. Just blowing everyone out. Curious to see if they can give Duke a game.

Michigan's State guards are both juniors. Both will be back next year.

We all understand that Sparty ...... the angry hobbit is on his way to retirement.

But we’re still better than Texasss

Top three are clearly big 12/b1g/ACC.

The order can be argued, but very little separation between the three.

The Big Ten is going to be TOOOUGH this year. Every road game will be tier one. The BIG has 6 top 25 teams and the next 3 in others receiving votes are in the Big Ten. In other words, the BIG has 9 teams that could be the higher seed in the NCAAT. However, I think the top of the ACC beats the entirety of the BIG. Here are my rankings:

1. ACC
2. BIG
3. SEC
4. Big 12
5. Pac 12
6. Big East (or are they a mid major at this point )
Big 12 is easy choice for #1.
