I am not sure why I continue to support and watch sports that are under an absolute terrible ****ing organization.
I candidly became disenfranchised by the lack of (or inconsistent) enforcement of NCAA regulations a few years ago that I no longer live and die with Purdue sports results. 10 years ago, I would have been devastated to have come so close to the Final Four. Now, it sucked but I was over it pretty quickly.

Total disrespect for Iowa. And we shall see another round of Iowa posters shit posting as a result.
Why is it disrespect for them? Iowa fans all under-appreciate how much of a mismatch Cook created for them. I think they stay about where they are or slightly above. 5-7 is a good spot for them with McCaffery as the coach.

I just don't see Purdue that high next year. In tier 3, but I'd slide them to 7th/8th. Rutgers needs to be tier 3 too, and I'd drop Minnesota down.
His argument was primarily driven by respect for Matt Painter, who has finished in the top 3 of the B1G 5 straight years and 9 of the last 12:

Purdue’s Elite Eight run in 2019 was evidence that Matt Painter is headed toward Bo Ryan territory, meaning you can trust he’s going to put his team in the top third of the standings and get a berth in the NCAA Tournament regardless of what he loses off the roster. The Boilermakers lost four starters from their 2017-18 Sweet 16 squad and somehow took Painter further than he’d ever been in his career, so losing three starters from this team shouldn’t kill their chances at being competitive again.

I just don't think there's enough offense unless Wheeler turns into a stud, but the defense should be long and suffocating. I don't think it's impossible to end up there, but I'm in wait and see. I think the following year will be very good for you.

Also, I didn't realize that Coffee is expected back for Minnesota. That might change my opinion some.

Is Coffey definitely coming back?

I also think he presumes Purdue gets one of the three grad transfer shooting guards we are in on.

Purdue will at worst be somewhere in the top 3. After all, we lose an inefficient chucker and just a spot up shooter. Shouldn't be too hard to replace.

I don't think Wheeler turning into a stud is a question of if but when. Hope it's next year but might still be 2 years away from that.

Who are they?

Could be true, but if he doesn't next year, that would be rough for you guys.

Jaden Ivey just committed to Purdue. Big pick-up. Thought he was a done deal to ND since his mom is an assistant coach for their women’s team and starred there as a player. Hoping Ivey can make a big move in the rankings this summer like Newman did last year.

Keeling (7), Procter (13) and Cumberland (19).

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...-basketball-transfer-rankings-2019-20-2020-21

Cumberland just visited. Procter is on campus now. Keeling is visiting next week.
Keeling is really good. Procter and Cumberland are very good offensive guys that are below average on defense. It would help playing on Purdue though where they have a guy like Haarms who hides a lot of deficiencies and Nojel who can pick up the other team's best offensive guy.

Yeah, I think my preference based on what I've seen is Keeling, Cumberland and Procter in that order. Keeling looked like a UNC lean but they got a big commitment yesterday and I don't know how that will affect his decision. I would take any of the three though as I think they each would help fill a need.

Will be interesting to see him this summer. Snow just said this week he wouldn’t offer him. Not as good as Leal or Galloway. He lit up IUs team camp last year but was never consistent in AAU I don’t believe

I don’t see it with Galloway. The guy shot pretty terribly this year. I think he’s got potential but I like Ivey and some of the other guys we’re in on better than him.

Galloway while not a great shooter is a player I feel we would all hate to play against his junior and a senior year.

Gotta say that I'm lower on him than some of the others we're in on, but he does seem like a Purdue guy that would grow into a good player and help you win games.

I'm much higher on Ethan Morton and LJ Cryer (who I suspect are both long shots), and Kerwin Walton (who I think we have a great shot at) to fill our other guard/wing spot in the class.

I am excited about Ivey though -- think he's a good get that has room to grow and will be a great fit.

I don’t think IU is in a position to be so picky. Especially with in-state kids.

Why? Purdue was the favorite for Franklin and IU offered him last June and got him. Same with Damezi. In-state kids are not IUs problem currently. That isn't me talking shit just providing some examples.

Indiana's 2020 class could be very small, so I see no issue with being selective. With that said I would have already offered Leal and accepted that commitment.

Seems like we dodged a bullet with Damezi.

Hard to question Painter on the recruiting trail. He recruits his system and has done very well.

Morton would be a real nice pick up for IU. He is one of the reasons why IU has not offered Leal if I had to guess.

I'd love Morton -- very Ty Jerome. He'll be a really good get for someone.

Way way too early for that. Would you say Hunter Jr sucks? For shooting 21% and averaging 2.2 ppg?
Agree that it's far too early to write off Damezi.

I think Hunter is going to be a good player, as it sounds like he's going to move off-ball this coming season which is where he's far more comfortable. You could tell he was timid and over-thinking all year, but it was good to see him make some nice plays in the tourney.

Agreed. Rabby and other discuss that he is the most talkative person they have seen on the defensive end and one of the best passers of the class. Not the greatest shooter but he had 50 point game during his high school season.

On offense he wasn’t great but he was solid defensively especially in the latter half of the year.

Damezi was one I was happy did not transfer. The guy wasn't supposed to contribute last year. He shot the ball very, very well from distance in high school, but obviously its a lot different when you make it to school. Another summer in the program with some experience under his belt he can develop to be a real nice player.

I see him and IT being very similar. CE Liteesque.

I tend to be a little skeptical of shooting translating when kids have that funky of shots, and said as much back when he was being recruited. He'll need that shot to come back around to be an impactful 3 imo.

For Ivey, I just like when Painter gets combo guards. They've worked out well for him, and he hasn't been able to land many true PGs.
