just read that the Hauser brothers announced 4 schools that they are going to visit in alphabetical order
Iowa
MSU
Virginia
Wisconsin,

didn't even know that Fran as been in contact with them, this came as a complete shock to me,

don't know much about either one, a quick recap would help like can 1 or both play right away of do they both have to sit 1 year before they can play?

They’re not going to Iowa. Don’t even worry about it.

didn't read my post did you, didn't know nor did most on Hawkeye Report knew that Fran had even involved with them, right now the talk is centered around who the next AC will be, top 3 coaches
Dean Oliver led Iowa to their last sweet 16 as their PG
Jeff Horner another former PG
the other can't remember his name was the coach that came in last Summer that worked on the teams defense,

he did a pretty good job with him working with team for a few weeks, improving from 243nd Adj D too 111th Adj D, just think what he could/would do as a full time coach.

You’re up early. No doubt you’re on breakfast duty at McDonalds. Now get back to making those egg McMuffins little brother.
Snu, get out of your mom's basement and get a job. It's time you paid for things on your own buddy.

Yeah, IU is building something. You have made the NCAA 5 of the last 6 years. Not so much a stepping stone anymore and their is an advantage of playing in the Big 10. Its easier to win, lol.

I didn't realize your coach left. Where did he go?

Tracy Smith to Arizona State and Chris Lemonis went to Mississippi State

Man, tough not to go to ASU. They are a college baseball blue blood. We lost 2 coaches to the major leagues, and 3 under classman to the draft.

Sucks.

My whole family is from Jasper so he will always be my favorite player even when he played for the Reds I still rooted for him

We played Jasper quite a bit in football sectionals. Always played against one Schmidt at least. They were big fvcking kids.

Shameless confession: I've never eaten Chick-Fil-A or Portillos.
I lived in Chicago for 5 years and thought that Portillos was wildly overrated. The beef was good, the dogs were good...but you can go to better places for both. I just never really understood the fascination.

IU Guys -- Hearing anything about this? Wouldn't be ideal if Purdue lost two assistants from this staff, but we're slated to replace Greg Gary (went to Mercer) with Micah Shrewsbury (Celtics assistant, former Purdue/Butler assistant) and seems like we'd likely replace Lutz (should he leave) with Paul Lusk (former Painter associate head coach, head coach at Missouri St).

It’s been a possibility but no one on our side has thought it was likely but who knows.

Gotcha. Not a lot of info on our side either. Gary would be a far bigger loss than Lutz IMO, but I like our options to replace both.

Just that Ostorm is a candidate but not likely to get the job.

It's how I feel every time I almost go there. I just end up finding a place that sounds better.

Now sounding like Ostrom does have a legit shot at the job with a couple people bowing out.

With the G-league becoming more of a thing a lot of good players for the sport are going to be leaving earlier. It sucks.

You think? G-league is full of grown men fighting for their lives. If kids start skipping college or go into it without guaranteed contracts... They might get eaten alive

I do think the G-League will become a true minor league where players will not feel the need to play in college. It isn't quite there yet, but I do think it is coming where players will leave college to begin the pro career even if it is in the G-league.

And just like that he wasn't hired lol. A lot of people who act like they know shit, really do not know a damn thing

I don’t think Lutz is a world beater of an assistant/recruiter, but I’m happy we didn’t lose two assistants while we’re after a bunch of talented kids in 2020 and actually have some momentum. Hopefully he can help land some.

I’m also hoping that hiring a Celtics assistant will look like a splash hire.

Yeah losing Ostrom would have been a big blow to IU honestly. It will happen eventually but would like to have a couple more years with him.

Is the Shrewsberry a done deal? Not sure how much it matters where the assistant came from as long as he has good connections, but I get what you are saying. Was he the main recruiter for anyone during is previous stint at Purdue?

P much a done deal.

He was the lead on Vince Edwards, not sure who else. His stint was pretty short.

Pretty close to a done deal. He was only at Purdue 2 years before Stevens hired him to Boston.
