I'm secretly excited about the secret scrimmage... damn, cat's out of the bag now.

It's going to be epic
Easily. He fails to realize that our competition in the Big 10 arent recruiting vs MAC schools. They are getting big time players.
You cant have a team of developmental players in this league and expect to be good. The league is just to strong
didn't realize those were Mac Level schools, Ulis is from Chicago and as a SO led his team to 26 wins, then as a JR led his team to 27 wins, that makes more wins than what his older brother did.Not asking them to be on Duke and UNC level. But we are recruiting against MAC schools
Nice. I always follow Michigan. They are my second favorite BB team.
I usually try to find and up and comer to follow before each season. Generally a big 10 team.
Last year it was Oregon.

the Murray twins never played on the AAU Circuit to get evaluated so they are the under the radar guys that NOBODY KNOWS anything about except the coaches that were/are recruiting them,
until they play NOBODY can say what level they should play at,
even Clemmons was a 2* by ESPN and had a very good career. Fran does a very good job at identifing talent. the biggest problem lately has been lack of athletic and defensive minded players, these new players bring both the athletic ability and defensive oriented mind set.
the new coach also brings the defensive mindset to the coaching staff.
another thing is now Fran can sit a player on the bench next to him that does give 100%, unlike the last 3 seasons, Moss took plays off as did Cook.
face it Cook should have avg'd better than 14+ ppg and 7+ rpg with his athletic ability
Man that sucks for the young man.
Hope he can make it back and make a living playing basketball (beyond what MSU boosters and the shoe companies have paid him of course).![]()
What's MSU's depth at guard look like?
Yeah I would guess he's done, too. That foot just won't seem to heal.
So would our starting 5 be:PG: Cash, Loyer
SG/SF: Ahrens, Henry, Watts, Brown

never knew that Iowa was the dream school for these top 50 recruits. besides he is getting the 60-100 players with a couple on the 101-150 with what I call the glue guys that stay 3-4 years sometime 5 depending on if they RS or notEasily. Uthoff RS'd and it did him pretty good
Moss RS'd and now he is playing for Kansas.
Nunge and Fredrick both RS'd and they are just getting started.
RS'ing worked out for Wisconsin and I don't recall them getting that many top 50 recruits, getting them and doing something with them is another
Indiana just had a 1 n done player and how did that work out other than TJD who did they get, even in this class they have got low level recruits in the lower 100 to 150 range.
MSU is really the only team in the BT that recruits on the level you want Fran to get,
there are 10 teams that Fran is recruiting as good or better, now its just a matter of improving the defense and athletic abilities of the team, these players he has recruited are doing just that.
HMMM recall that Iowa beat Oregon and Garza was named the MVP. they didn't wreck Iowa and Oregon had their 5* Center that Garza outplayed,Oregon wrecked it in the B10 last year![]()

We went to the Final Four last year without him, and we brought back our 2 best players and Aaron Henry who was very good late last year. The coaching staff has also been talking up Rocket Watts a lot. I’m still confident we’re #1Michigan State was also the overwhelming favorite to win the whole thing. NCAA is now wide-open. Hopefully Langford can return to his former self at some point. Tough break. Maybe Izzo will pair Winston with Rocket Watts in the backcourt? That could be a fun duo.

You guys overrate the chef. Dude was a deterrent to his signing if anything.Yea, too bad we didn't have him in the Swanigan private chef program or else he could've had enough calcium to overcome these brittle bones

Supposedly Watts has been very good and surprisingly good on D.Michigan State was also the overwhelming favorite to win the whole thing. NCAA is now wide-open. Big Ten wide open at this point. MSU still the favorite, but the loss of Langford definitely opens things up for Ohio State, Maryland, Purdue etc.
You lost Goins and Mcquaid tho. And Ward. Personally, I think Kansas is better now and probably a couple other teams. We went to the Final Four last year without him, and we brought back our 2 best players and Aaron Henry who was very good late last year. Between him, Gabe Brown, Aaron Henry and Kyle Aherns we should be ok at the 2.
That was a position we could take a hit at. We have Gabe Brown, Aaron Henry, Kyle Ahrens, and Rocket Watts. Rocket is the only one who’s actually a true 2, but at MSU, the 2 and the 3 are pretty much that same offensively. Just wings.

I probably will be looking for a new team to follow this season.
I am going with the Illini
haven't lost Fran's top target in Foster as for Sibley he is rated #85 by ESPN and #86 by Rivals. would have welcomed him but he is not that big a loss, yetSo if we don't land our top 2 targets, are you ok with the class?
