Probably one of your most reasonable posts. He's improved quite a bit since the down years in getting guys that fit his system and no wasted scholarships. Thats one thing that can kill a program.
No more jacob lawsons, donnie hales, Ronnie Johnson's, or travis carrolls. Our 2013 class was top 25 and literally every single player ended up transferring. I wouldn't really call painter's recruiting improved as much as i would just call it smarter recruiting.

IMO, the biggest thing he's done is be able to string together multiple solid classes in a row. Early in his career, he struggled to bring in top 100 players without the promise of substantial playing time available.

I’m the 31 btw lol round of my life

3100 from the backs? what putt putt course you playing? jk, nice job
RollLaughIt’s not the longest course but the slope is 126 so it’s not THAT easy RollLaugh I was just on one tonight lol I even missed 3 pretty makable birdie putts.

the championship tees were 3125 yards? what was this, a golf course for ants?

but very nice. -4 over 5 is pretty fire.
Yeah it’s not very long but it’s so freakin narrow. You can even be in the fairway but a tree-line will be in the way and the greens are pretty sloped. Granted, I hit every drive pretty much perfect tonight so that helped. Slope is 126 so it’s still a little above average difficulty wise.

Hickory hills in Brownstown, IN. It’s the home course for this guy and he’s a lot better than I am and his personal best is 63 in 18 holes from here.

* I’m a 6 handicap thus is why I’m pumped for a 31, regardless of the course lol*
You should for sure be pumped about that. I'm a similar handicap and my best 9 is -2 a handful of times.

Better get all those good rounds out of your system before that baby comes along.

That’s basically the best I’ve shot as well before tonight. If I wasn’t drinking while playing then I probably wouldn’t even post my score here but I know all my non-golfing friends wouldn’t give a shit so I just posted it here lol and no kidding, I feel like I dont play enough as is so I’m sure that’s even going to dwindle further.

Played that course a TON of times. I’m positive we know a bunch of the same people.
What?? When’s the last time you’ve played there? I was a cart boy there from 4th grade throughout high school for god’s sake lol that place was like my 2nd home growing up. I’m sure I’ve seen you there then.
Also, who do you know?

It’s been over 5 years. But, I spent a ton of time at the Lake and Forest over my life and we played that course all the time. I’ve provably played it more than 50 times. If you were a cart boy, chances are you’ve seen me there. Pretty wild, really.

That’s nuts. My great-grandma even used to have a house at the lake & forest. Who did you play with/know from b-town?

Did Blough graduate?
He did. He just got waived by the Browns.

(Edit: Missed him being waived yesterday. Womp womp.)

Elijah Sindelar (5th-year junior) is now the starter. He was the starter the back-half of 2017 (including the three straight wins to close the season) and was the opening-night starter last year against NW before getting pulled in the second half.

He's got a lot of experience and arm talent, but there are some questions about decision-making and mobility, especially behind a young, inexperienced offensive line.

Oh thank Christ. That guy owned us

Purdue’s offensive line is very worrisome to say the least. I think the defense will be improved & I love the skill position players even if they are mainly so young. I’m thinking 6-7 wins with a ceiling of 9 wins if that O-line can come together. A floor of 4 wins if everything just goes sideways. Purdue has very little depth aside from WR injuries could be very worrisome as well.
