Oh yeah Blaire? Got a link to that?Snow has even gone on record and said that he thinks Galloway’s shooting has gotten worse this past year.

So 33% for his high school career and 65% career FT, I think that’s the definition of below average lolHe shot it better the prior two years at 37% and IIRC shot it better this year in AAU as well. I don’t think labeling him below average is correct.

Thats where I am as well. Not bad. Not great. Kind of in the middle. I will say he doesn’t have a bad shot, so I believe he could develop during his time at IU.I wouldn’t call him below average but I also wouldn’t call him above average either. Let’s split the difference and call him an average shooter.
Yup, that’s what I remember as well. I thought it was much better than his junior year high school numbers.I could be wrong and I'll check but I think he shot somewhere between 37 and 42% from 3 this summer in AAU
It was 33 percent during the adidas circuit according to Osterman.I could be wrong and I'll check but I think he shot somewhere between 37 and 42% from 3 this summer in AAU
So his numbers his junior year were impacted by a wrist injury? Didn’t know that. Makes sense now.It was 33 percent during the adidas circuit according to Osterman.

He was struggling from three even before the injury. Sounds like he bounced back a bit this summer, but I wouldn't expect it to ever be a strength of his game - especially with those mechanics. So his numbers his junior year were impacted by a wrist injury? Didn’t know that. Makes sense now.
That’s why I challenged people when they called him a bad/below average shooter. His junior year seems to be the anomaly. But, I’m not surprised to see some immediately label him as a bad shooter as it was the usual Purdue trolls. He was struggling from three even before the injury. I think it's a fool's errand to try and parse whether he's a "solid" or "average" or "below average" shooter. We can all probably agree it's not the strength of his game; but he does plenty of other things well that should excite IU fans. That’s why I challenged people when they called him a bad/below average shooter. Don’t disagree. Just note that it wasn’t any IU fans that starting banging their chests, or even mentioned Galloway’s shooting. That came from the Purdue trolls. We were discussing his commitment.I think it's a fool's errand to try and parse whether he's a "solid" or "average" or "below average" shooter. He's a career 33 percent shooter on about four attempts per game. For a high-major guard/wing target, those aren't great numbers.
But parsing high school shooting percentages is tough because teammates' talent, the offensive system/workload, and their competition can heavily influence those numbers. Which is why I thought it was dumb when the Newman-Franklin debate around here devolved into whose three-point shooting percentage was higher; without any discussion of volume or the types of shots each was taking during the high school season.
/climbs off soapbox
He’s not going to be a Jordan Hulls from 3, but he should be able to knock in open shots assuming he’s not the focal point in the offense.from a outsiders view this kid led his team in scoring and the the teams state championship and is the preseason favorite to be named Indiana's Mr. BB if I read that right, 33% from 3 is = to 50% from 2, this makes him a threat to shoot from 3 and teams can't ignore him on defense.
he doesn't have to be a Hull 2.0. he just has to be at the level to keep defenses honest. He’s not going to be a Jordan Hulls from 3, but he should be able to knock in open shots assuming he’s not the focal point in the offense.
My guess is TJD is at minimum a 2 year guy and possibly 3. I agree with all the rest of your post.he doesn't have to be a Hull 2.0. he just has to be at the level to keep defenses honest.
Fran has the same thing in Conner. he shot in the 20's so he has to improve his 3 point shooting to the low to mid 30's to keep defenses honest, from the videos that I watched his stroke just needs a little work and he can avg 35+% which will be respectable with line being moved back to 22+'. never did understand people that feel if a player doesn't shoot 40+% from 3 shouldn't be allowed to play or get trashed.
I like his size at 6'3. put him along side 6'5 Leal and you have a solid pair. this is what Archie needs to build his team around, 5* 1 n Done players are nice but when you are rebuilding. you need the 4 year players that stick around and develop year over year.
now if TJD would stay for 3 years that would go a long way to stabilizing the team for the long haul.

Yup. 42% as a guy who’s not gonna be a 3pt specialist is gonna work for me! I really want Leal and the Lander. Keep the IE connection going. It ended up 42 after the championships he shot it really well. That isn’t his game though and the reason him and Leal compliment each other well. When they are both on like last weekend it’s a really nice compliment.
I like it, tougher competition than he would play at Marion.Well the odds on 2020 Indiana Mr. Basketball just changed a bit. Ivey is transferring to La Lumiere for his senior year. Leal/Galloway/Davis race now.

As an Indiana high school basketball fan I hate it but I get why any kid would go to basically be in college a year early and play top competition
Exactly. Don’t blame them at all but it sucks if you’re a fan of IHSAA b-ball for sure.
Also don’t forget Pack in the 2020 race. He has a better chance than Davis
Why do you think he has a better shot? Honestly it probably hurts them both that they’re on the same team. Could split votes potentially.
Because I personally think Pack is BAMF and they will be a top contender in 4A
Um suddenly in on 5 star Isaiah Todd, I believe he is a pay for play recruit

you have to like UM’s chances then.
Look for the dudes with the punchable faces. Just not 7’2 or taller ones. We have that subset locked up!I'm enjoying being filled in on all these recruitments that Michigan will be the bridesmaids in.
Who are the realistic targets though?

when did UM become Duke or Kentucky. oh wait the Fab 5 Was the best team money could buy, how long before they get hammered again?Literally the lowest rated kid we are in on right now is our current commit zeb Jackson. Juwan is either going get 3-4 of these top 50 kids he is in on or we are screwed.
