Hey Indiana fans, a family friend just took a Preferred Walk On as a QB for Indiana. Will Jontz. He had offers from Central Michigan and Butler but is going to walk on at Indiana instead.

@Da_Bull @SNU0821 @klize17 @IUfanBorden @HoosierstuckinIowa
This is hands down the worst time in the history of iu football to walk on as a QBs and hope to get playing time. There's 3 legitimate QBs in front of him at least . 2 of which are 4 star players....which is something never said about IU football.

I'm stealing this from someone over at peegs. But it really helps highlight why IU has struggled for so many years. This is a list of recruits starting with Oladipo's class to the class that just graduated. Unless you're Duke or Kentucky, its imperative to get old and stay old in college basketball.

Oladipo - Early NBA entrant
Sheehey - Graduated Sr.
Zeller - Early NBA entrant
Abel - Transfer
Etherington - Transfer
Ferrell - Graduated Sr.
Hollowell - Transfer
Hanner - Transfer
Jerkin - Transfer
Patterson - Transfer
Vonleh - Early NBA entrant
Troy W - Early NBA entrant
Robinson - Transfer
Fischer - Transfer
Davis - Transfer
Hartman - Graduated Sr
Blackmon - Early NBA entrant
Johnson - Graduated Sr
Holt - Transfer
Hoetzel - Transfer
April - Transfer
Priller - Graduated Sr.
Bryant - Early NBA entrant
Morgan - Graduated Sr
OG - Early NBA entrant

Summary:

Early NBA Entrants: 7
Transfers: 12
Graduated Sr: 6

I'm so damn glad the Crean era is over!

Iowa's baseball team swept #23 Illinois. other news the Baylors women coach is getting bent out of shape by all the focus on Iowa's Gustofison by the media, don't know all Megan has done is be names the BT Women's POY, National POY.

just named a finalist for the Women's Naismith POY, sigh that's something that I guess should be ignored. with all the attention on Baylor.

some body posted a video of their Coach supporting/defending FB Coach Briles.

The Iowa site Admin has us anywhere from 3 to 5 next season in the Big 10.

I will take it.

How are we supposed to know yet? Maryland still going after a couple guys for next year.

As it sits now, was his point. He assumed Edwards is gone, maybe Coffy, assumes Cook is staying, and other logical predictions.

Iowa silly season coming in hot.
Iowa is still in a wait and see mode. with Dailey transferring and it looking like now that Cook may go the way of the NBA, that's makes 2 open spots and wait and see who replaces them,

With out Cook and Dailey this could be the 2 deeps
PG SR 6'1 Jordan backup RSS0 6'5 Connor
SG RSSR 6'5 Moss backup RSFR 6'4 Fredrick
SF SO 6'6 Wieskamp backup FR 6'9 Patrick
PF RSJR 6'8 Pemsl backup SR 6'9 Kriener
C JR 6'11 Garza backup RSSO 7'0 Nunge
off the bench
FR 5'11 PG Toussaint.

Fran could bring in a couple grad Transfers or FR or bank them, the key is Cook. this fall Fran has a solid 2 deeps in Height and experience.

to me he can bank the scholarship and go with a solid 2 deep rotation, if fouls or injuries happen there is the depth at each position. this season Fran used a 8-9 man rotation with out any real problem other than when Garza got onto foul trouble.

this left Fran W/O a true 5/C. Looking forward to seeing the starting 5 and how he rotates players. plus who he gets.

Without Cook, we get whiter and slower. If he don't come back, and we bank scholarships, we are most likely 5 to 8.

Wisconsin, hell no.

PU without Edwards, no.

OSU, banking on freshman, no. But could be.

Maryland, could be.

Next.

We’ll bring the brooms next season too. Sweep Iowa back on down to 10th.

Where is @Mgkcbb or @BabaySharkk with their projections that MSU would finish like 10th in B10? Talk about an all time miss on that projection. Reminds me of the miss below...

Happy Monday bitches.

Thoughts on that? Worse case he gives you depth but the guy couldn’t even beat out Nate Fowler.

Bruiser with similar stats as DeRon, so its needed depth to go against the bigs in the conference. Plus two years, Indiana kid. I love it. Him and a shooter and I like the roster much, much better.

I wouldn't look too much into him unable to "beat" someone out. Kid went to play for Holtmann and I don't think the Lavall Jordan era is going to workout for Butler.

Depth at the 5 for a guy with a torn achilles is how I’m looking at it. Has experience and has two to play two.

PU without Edwards will still be vying for the B10 title. Don't forget we won half of our B10 games this year including vs MSU with Carsen having off nights.

I said it last year and got burned but i'll believe it when i see it. Like i said the other night i see more of vintage Painter teams with multiple solid players and not being dominated by one guy ie: Hammons last years, Swanigan, Edwards. Think they'll still be top 4ish if they stay healthy. Assuming Carsen is gone two deep looking like the below?

Nojel/Thompson
Hunter/newman
Sasha/Gillis
Wheeler/Boardaux
Haarms/Williams
