Nah. That's not even close to as bad as MSU being worse than Illinois and being like 10th in the B10.
Candidly, they are both REALLY bad IMO. His was stupid and trolling. Yours was exacerbated by your failure to admit the error for months after it was proven false.

Jesus it must be nice to be a Spartan fan.

They are one of those programs, for me, you can relate to. At least in football and kinda in basketball pre Izzo.

Izzo is an amazing coach. Watching BTN right now and he is fired up. I expect the best MSU this weekend

Jellyfam has been just awful at the college level.

Quinerly and Washington both underperformed.
Yeah, he was awful except against Michigan when he dropped like 24 points. Laughing

We could have had McKinley Wright over him too.

I guess that offsets the fact we ended up with Nate Mason instead of Tum Tum.

Tum Tum may have never got hurt if he went to Minny. Was a decent jump shooter before the injury, then just completed awful after and never recovered. Didn’t attack as ferociously either

GG has done more in 4 years than Fran has in 9. 1 really.
and GG was gift wrapped a solid winning group. vs Fran. SA took over a program that had gone 9-0 in 1st round NCAAT games and was coming off a sweet 16, when he left the program was a smoldering fire.
then the NCOY was hired and it turned to a roaring forest fire, Fran had to rebuild the program from the basement up, in his 1st 6 years the state of Iowa had produced just 2 4* players in Paige and Woodbury both top 50, [recruiting starts at home]
Fran's 1st out of state 4* recruit was Gesell. those 2 as 4 year starters reached the NIT Championship game, 3 NCAAT winning 2 1st round games. they also recorded the 3rd best win total in Iowa's history.

the last 3 years these were the 4* recruits in state
Jordan by ESPN
Connor
Wieskamp
Geene who chose UNI
Patrick 2019 recruit

outside Iowa
Cook out of Chaminade HS Missouri
Moss by ESPN out of Simeon HS Chicago
Garza out of Washington DC
PG Toussaint ESPN. out of NYC

yes it took 7 years to get to that level of recruiting but it is paying off in a 23 win season the 2nd best season under Fran. with 25 being his best.

Yes I agree, but as I stated earlier. We won 10 of our B10 games with Edwards shooting at or below 30% including a 10 point win over MSU. Painters other athletic teams were early in his career with Hummel and co. The slump years and the years with Mathias, Haas etc, were his least athletic teams by far. That's why they were more prone to early exits in the tournament, even though they really didn't lose before they were seeded to very often.

There’s a big difference between winning with Edwards playing bad versus not playing at all. Part of the reason he had some “off” nights is that he was priority #1 and #2 for every opposing defense he faced, which allowed other players to operate more freely.

I really like a lot of the guys on Purdue, in particular Wheeler and Williams, but it remains to be seen how they will play without Edwards drawing so much attention. Michigan was like that this season, a bunch of good offensive options but lacking one player who could just go and get a bucket when the offense broke down.

Purdue is going to have talent, for sure, but a lot of that talent is young and hasn't been relied upon as heavily as they will going forward. That, to me, is what makes forecasting what Purdue will or won't do, tough. They could be a top four type team. They could also fall to sixth seventh or eighth. I doubt they'd fall that far as I think Williams in the post is gonna be a really solid piece on the offensive end to anchor around as long as he can stay out of foul trouble. But I also find it hard to say they'll be a top four team when we haven't seen any of their players relied upon for significant production to date.

read on another site that listed every player that will leave to graduation. Transfer and to the NBA,
they also listec the recruits for each team. this makes it hard to determine how a team will do.

if some of the players listed as possible NBA Picks stays that improves a teams position, or vice vs leaving will improve the teams chances,

till the NBA date to stay in or withdraw. predicting where any team finishes is like putting all the names into a hat and pulling them out and put them into the order as you pull them out.

for Iowa if Cook stays I am going with a top 5 finish. W/O Cook it is in the 7-9 range. this too can change depending on if Fran brings in a grad transfer something he has been reluctent to do in the past.

can't link and never could. it was on 247 main site. no particular team site. just found it very informative. this is so true when trying to determine how good teams will be or not.

Visited MSU today with his mom, and committed. 4* PG in 2020. Barely 6' but very athletic

Him and Cash are about the same height but different players. He is a very good athlete. Good shooter too, good vision, but not Cassius in those regards.

Hell of a player. Top 50 in state kid. Ranked 45th via Rivals. Always a good pickup.

If will be a massive gut punch if we don’t take home the natty. All 4 these teams are really good though but I trust in Izzo and Cash.

Nice pickup. A little surprised by the dearth of offers for a top-50 point guard. Maybe he was due for a flurry this spring, but good for MSU to lock him up now.

Supposedly was always an MSU fan (Flint area = Flintstones) but just a couple of months ago, it seemed our chances were fading (he cancelled a visit, there were rumors that he had a camp that was trying to get him to hold off, etc). We started watching other PG's in the class, then he just visited yesterday, only with his mom, and committed.

He's only 5'11" though, so that probably slowed some offers. I guess other programs have inquired about him, but when most are told he was a MSU fan growing up they start focusing elsewhere.

Wondering how Minny and Iowa posters take this:

Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please take Fran!

If Fred was available, I would be ok with Fran leaving. We could have made a run at Fred.
That would’ve been interesting and I guess we’ll never know. IMO, his ties to Lincoln are vast and I doubt he’d betray ISU by going to Iowa.

Maybe. But he is popular and well respected throughout the state. Iowans love anyone that stays home and is successful. He and Chris Street are legends in Iowa and are loved by all. It would have been interesting.

Nebraska averages 15492 in attendance in 2018. 3rd in the Big 10. Fred might build a power house there.
