It's going to be weird seeing Iowa play above the community college ranks in the non-con.
I can understand why you're thinking this, but last night is a perfect example. He had 40 something points and not a single player besides him was in double figures for the game. Personally, unless the player is ridiculously efficient, its almost never a good thing when one player averages much over 20 points a game.
Of all games to help support your argument that it's a positive because he draws attention from the defense, it would have been last night.
A couple of names that have thrown around are Paul Lusk who was with Painter before and is on McDermott’s staff at Creighton. Possibly Micah Shrewsbury who came to Purdue from Butler but has been coaching with Stevens in Boston the last few years.
Paul Lusk is the only name I’ve heard mentioned. It’s purely speculative though based on it just making a lot of sense from being at Purdue before. Though Purdue hired their last assistant from Creighton as well in Steve Lutz so not sure if that’ll matter or not.

Or the Tennessee game when he was 8-22 from the field but Purdue had other players step up to win would support my argument too. Last night was a case of just give that guy the damn ball because he’s so filthy right now.
First time I've seen someone with him in the first round. I still think it's unlikely but Givony is one of the best.

Probably not. You’ve got a 4 star QB transfer from Utah, highest rated kid IU has ever gotten, the starter from the last two years, and the guy who was gonna take the job last year if he hadn’t gotten hurt. It’s got scout player written all over him.
Having two four stars at the position I am sure has never happened at IU
I think they have a returning junior starter Peyton Ramsey and some RS freshman QB whose name I don't know.
And they also picked up a transfer, Jack Tuttle, from Utah. Wisconsin tried really hard to recruit him. Don't know his story exiting Utah though.
