Maybe circus wasn’t the right word but you guys hit a ton of shots you don’t normally hit. Baker and Sanders in particular.
Not circus shots but you guys survived off of late shot clock, hand in your face, mid range jumpers. Lowest % shot in basketball. Kudos to Rutgers for hitting them, but there were a lot of street ball desperation heaves that went down.
This. Sanders and Baker combined to go 19-36 from the field or 52%. Way above their normal averages.
Rutgers has to play hero ball right now as there is a lack of good shooters and the bigs are just not that talented offensively(Freeman is decent) so they just let Sanders and Baker try to create their own shots. Would be nice to have a Mathias and the two Edwards. Purdue is a fun team to watch

the refs are awful, how can they continue to cheat iowa out of fouls, garza is a stud and is fouled everytime he touches the ball, best unibrow ive seen and thats why he is averaging 10 points. 8 rebounds in only 13 minutes of play. this game is fixed,
also iowa is the youngest team in the big ten, we are missing bohannon who is averaging 18 points and 6 assists, joe weiskamp is the future, he will probably start at the 2 or 3, our lineup will be

The excuses from Purdue fans are getting funny. They aren’t playing great and still winning enjoy it. Not always dudes hitting circus shots or Purdue missing wide open looks.

as for the refs they saddled both Cook and Garza with 2 fouls early, basically taking the #1 scorer and the #4 scorer out of the game.
