UT wasn't dialed in the first half and UK came out hitting on all cylinders. I was actually surprised we were able to battle back with the way y'all were hitting. The reason UT wasn’t dialed in was because UK took it to them and took them outta their game. We was physical and UT looked shook for a while. If we’re gonna make excuses we could say that we was without two of our starters when they game was played at Rupp. There shouldn’t be any excuses about anything. Y’all beat us at Rupp and then we came into a sold out Food City Arena on senior day with Ricks 5th straight “best team ever” who was ranked 4th or 5th in the nation, who has what many UT fans consider the best player (DK) that has ever played for UT, who also had a career day and we beat them and I’ll add we beat them with NO scoring from any of our bigs AND I’ll also add we did most of this with freshman.

Barnes trying to guard the best 3 point shooter in the country with 5’9 Zeigler was a collosal miscalculation. Reed torched them. He basically shot the last one right in Zeigler’s face because he knew there was no chance of being blocked.
Not really. He went 4 for 7 and we scored 92. Theyre defense was just as bad then as it was yesterday. UK’s was just worse
Really hope Sheppard can start being more assertive. He's too good to pass up open looks like has happened in the past. You're not finding a better shot than that lol. Not sure we've had a game where all 3 of them are firing on all cylinders. If Sheppard/Dilly/Reeves are shooting well, it's impossible to guard.
Don’t look now but Edward’s is 14-21 from 3 in the last 6 games and up to 38% on the season.

Edwards coming on has changed the outlook too. I like him more at the 4, but him shooting so well from the 3 helps spell the guards/foul trouble purposes.
Your initial assertion was that Barnes made a coaching blunder. Which is obviously not true. It had worked in the past. Sheppard got hot, it happens. Sheppard just had a great game and that is that. Zeigler did not do a bad job. It was just Sheppard's night.

I’m not surprised that Kentucky won. I am surprised that they almost completely choked it away at the end. I don’t know of another HOF coach whose ass consistently puckers so tightly during crunch time.
You’re surprised we almost gave it away? Have you not watched us much this year??😂 As much as I wanna blame Cal for it the players have made mistake after mistake. Yea I know it comes back on the coach but players have to take some responsibility.
Agreed. Cal takes his foot off the gas waaaaaay too early. I noticed we were slowing the pace with about 7 min left. Really shouldn’t be doing that until about the 4 min mark with a 14 pt. lead. Keeps the late game fouling strategy to a minimum too.
I didn’t know this and it really surprised me. As much as we’ve heard “this is Barnes best team ever this year” the last few years I didn’t know that this was his first regular season title at UT. Has he won any SEC tourney titles? I think I remember at least one.
That’s fair, but his teams always seem to have that identity recently. The players absolutely must take some blame but it seems to be his MO, especially the last few years.
What surprised me was how much they were up and how little time was left when the bed dumping started.
