I agree that porn guy is scum, but even scum can be truthful. Based on the documentation he's shared up to this point, I'm inclined to believe he's telling the truth. You don't just go after Nike with false information, and then provide false ledgers to law enforcement.
I also think he's being too specific to be lying about Duke. If he said this stuff about UK, I'd be pretty nervous. On that note, he still might implicate UK. Nobody is safe at this point.
And Duke had what to do with it? Not nervous at all. Specifically since K said Duke and the NCAA cleared Zion.
What did UMass have to do with Marcus Camby? What did Memphis have to do with Derrick Rose?
If I were a Duke fan, I wouldn't be nervous either. You guys are untouchable. As a Kentucky fan, I'm relieved you guys have been mentioned. That means if we step in shit, we get to use the same defense.

All of that is a hit on Nike. Not Duke. He's literally telling Duke to ask about Nike's dealings. Who here has denied believing that Nike has paid players.
Why won't you answer my question about why Nike would care about players going to Duke instead of Kentucky? Krzyzewski has owned the recruiting trail since adopting the OAD strategy and it upsets you. You are clinging to any reason other than Krzyzewski out recruiting Calipari.

I wasn't avoiding the question. Just forgot about it in my response. It seems like Cal and Nike had a bit of a falling out when Cal refused to participate in the PK80 a few years back. Maybe that pissed some Nike execs off, I don't know. That's about the time our recruiting dipped, and Duke's surged.
As for K being a better recruiter than Cal. I'm not sure that's fair to say at this point. Especially when sources are coming out saying that Nike paid recruits money to go to Duke. Let's see this unfolds first. You could be right, but you could also be wrong.
Nope I'm not, but that scenario I presented was very fair. It would seem all of those players got paid or received benefits from a 3rd party (not the school). That's about as apples to apples as it gets. I'm sorry if you don't like the Camby or Rose outcomes. I didn't either.
Excuse me. Where did it say they paid recruits to attend Duke? It says Nike paid Zion’s mother. Nothing about him h I guess to go to Duke. Again, opinions are great, but they mean nothing except to the person whose opinion it is.
I let the jokes write themselves. KU under Self has been entertaining. Every year there's an ineligible player or a domestic dispute. I hate to wish away the summer, but I'm eagerly awaiting the off court drama that will inevitably unfold in Lawrence this fall.

So, for months now, you have been accusing Cal/UK, K/Duke and UNC of cheating because you think you have common sense and you heard rumors (your words). I can only imagine how much you would be blowing these threads up if it was Cal or K that was texting back and forth with Gassnola.

Self didn’t say anything about Kentucky. The Adidas exec brought up Kentucky. He has no connections with UK or Calipari. Minimal credibility. The Nike exec, Avanatti didn’t bring up any Adidas schools.
Avenatti didn’t try to extort Adidas and isn’t hellbent on taking them down. Also, he likely has no evidence on Adidas. But what’s this have to do with a private conversation between Self and Adidas?
I know you guys are going to continue to hide behind the idea that Adidas knows nothing about their competitors but it’s absurd.

I’ve mentioned it earlier in this thread, but Cal has backed off plenty of recruits who were shady or had shady family members or groupies. One, Josh Shelby for example. He ended up at Kansas and it’s all starting to make sense now.

That was a direct text conversation between Bill Self and Gassnola. Gassnola mentioned Kentucky, but what would he know? Kentucky is a Nike school, he's an adidas guy. An adidas guy that has been caught doing a lot of shady crap and has a direct line to Bill Self.
Again, you're throwing stones at UK/Duke/UNC for much less than what KU has on them.
