Yes but most of us would rather have a sophomore that averaged nearly 10 a game and shot well from the floor starting at point next year than another unproven kid unless we're talking about a John wall or DeAaron Fox level talent. Maxey is not that from what I understand.
I agree. If Cal keeps this up, 1-2 of Vandy/Gabriel/Washington will be gone and yall will be just as young as last year. Crazy how most believed a lot would come back. Looking the opposite. Who do you think leaves?
UK insider on the premium board seems to indicate he came to Cal after the year and told him he was leaving/thinking of leaving. Thus he locks up Hagans and now Maxey I guess?
The guy that's been telling us before the announcements on literally everyone over on hob. He hasn't been wrong yet. I think it's a media member that's being given heads ups before the official announcements are made.

Just weird you trade 2 pgs for 3 pgs (assuming Maxey goes to Uk this year) when you had 1 come in already. Is Quickley not very good? 3pgs with a loaded SG spot just seems awkward how all 3 will get solid PT. It made sense for 2 PG’s to be on the court this year bc of the lack of SG. But 3 pgs for a loaded SG/SF spot? Odd situation or am I missing something?
Don't disagree with you. I think you'll see a lot of 2 point guard sets with one of the 2 guards at the 3. Personally I think having all of this roster turnover off a mediocre (all things considered) team is terrible. Guys like Green, Washington, etc should be making big leaps as sophomores to help the team take the next step.
He was supposedly talking about possible transferring well before the season was over. He was probably unhappy with being moved off the ball in favor is SGA and saw the potential for the same thing to happen again next year with Quickley. Signing hagans likely sealed it for him.
Yeah it clearly seems like Cal is trying to remake the entire roster when a lot thought most would come back. Like I said earlier, if you lose Green and according to you two that it’s very possible, plus you lose 1-2 of those bigs, you guys are seriously just as young or younger than this past season.
This is all coming when most thought that Cal recruited these past guys to build depth. Just a weird situation.
If Green came to Cal and told him he was leaving you can't blame Cal for that. SGA should have been a multi year player. Guy worked his ass off into the lottery this year. I think UK still gets at least 2 back of Vanderbilt/Gabriel/Washington. Possible all 3 come back, though I doubt it.
UK was really hamstrung last year with only having three healthy guards. I think Cal is making sure he's not short like that again.

Sounds like Cal is losing an abundance of talent that might have threatened for a title had they decided to hang around. The future Wildcats will be a bouncy and athletic romp going nowhere.

No, I'd have to defer to him to any event occurring during the Truman Administration, at least based on his personal recollection. I'd say, though, that the Loyola accomplishment of 1963 should be regarded as an event that transcends merely winning a title. An honest research of what happened should underscore all that.

They've come up embarrasingly short in recent efforts. The attempt against Wisconsin was dismal.
