Louisville @ Kentucky

Good game thus far. Very competitively played. Pope has to figure out how to play better D, but offensively UK is as good as there is.

Kelsey seems to have a little man complex, reminds of Cronin.

Rupp arena is almost impossible to get an evenly called game, but we all knew that.
I think the refs have too much influence in a lot of games this year.
Heck, Pat Adams tried to tell one of the other refs he needed to change the guy he called a foul on. I've never seen that before.

That was an entertaining game. Had the feel of UK - Louisville pre Pitino at the 'Ville where both teams fought hard but I don't despise the Cards for just existing. Their coach is likable and it should be years and years of high level play as both coaches build their cultures out.

Kentucky has a lot of likable players, but Garrison is a turd. He tries to intimidate players like Cousins did, but he doesn’t have the talent to match his mouth like Cousins did. So I have a reason to hope Kentucky loses every game 😀

Thought the same thing about you guys. No quit, all fight. And besides the little skirmish it was a very clean game.

The game bounced around from 4 to 8 points the whole game, I don’t know how that wasn’t a more lopsided game than it was going by the stats.

Kentucky shot 58 to our 44%
Kentucky shot 14 more free throws
Kentucky had 10 more rebounds
Turnovers were 11-7 in favor of Louisville

Those stats and the final score don’t make sense. With the stats the score should’ve been more like a 88-65 game.

Was too tired to post when I got home last night but I’ll start with this. Rupp was awesome yesterday and the crowd was into it. When that place is going it’s just as good as any arena in the country. The refs (Pat Adams) sucked both ways. Felt like they took the flow of the game away several times. I expected UL to shoot and make a few 3’s but never thought they would hit like they was. Hats off to UL for hanging in there and playing hard. Forgive me for saying this but I like PK. Seems like a good guy and knows how to coach. UL should be ok going forward with him leading the way. I still hope y’all lose every game!🖕🏻🤣🖕🏻

I've never seen an official try to tell another official to change his foul call to a different player. He knew it was going to be Scott's 5th foul, so he tried to manipulate the call.

The fact he did it in Rupp, in front of 24k fans and on national television, is crazy. That guy needs to be investigated, that was crooked as hell.

It really never matters where these two teams are rated when they play...the game is generally competitive. If the game is going to be a blowout, it is generally UK doing so.

History points to UL only winning this game by smaller margins of victory.

I remember in the 2012-13 season, UKs NIT team went into Louisville and lost 80-77. UK was trash that year, and UL won the championship (later vacated). Yet it was only a three point UL win. Didn't surprise me at all to see UL hit 14 threes and keep the game close. Weird things happens in rivalry games. Was fun to watch yesterday.

Yea no kidding. Even the UL fans sitting to my right, behind me said “what is he doing” in reference to him trying to overturn that call.

I have watched quite a bit of Kentucky this year and haven't noticed that about him until this game. I agree he was dirty a few times but that seemed out of character to me.

It’s Kentucky Vs. Louisville, Blue vs. Red, Big Brother vs. little brother, BBN vs. Card Nation. This isn’t a hugging competition. It’s the most hated rivalry (even though y’all have sucked) in sports. A little pushing and rough housing is gonna happen. If you wanna watch rivalry games with hugging and kissing go watch Duke/Carolina🤣 I kid, I kid!!!

He wasn’t trying to overturn the call, he thought the foul was called on the wrong player for Louisville.
