Who are the top 5 programs in order?

The same people that say they don't care about it are always the one's talking about it. I mean we all moved on, can't change the past but some seem like they can't get it past it.
Tell that to your boy with the zip code for a name, that brought up Hitler and Jim Crow.

When I made that comment you and others came to mind so you take it any way you want to. It's funny his comment sets you off and you've said outrageous stuff in the past. Seems to me if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.

He’s definitely rattled by this. Call it what you want, the fact remains it was a different era of college hoops. I do find it ironic/hypocritical that this guy who talks inseccant obnoxious crap can’t take a little back. Yikes.

The false racist shit is too much. Say anything you want, but don’t talk about shut you know nothing about. You are right it was a different era, racism was alive back, many schools including UK, UNC and all schools in the south had all white players. In 1966 when the media labeled Rupp and UK racist, we played Duke in the semis, Duke was all white. Had Duke won then played Texas Western, would Duke be labeled a racist school. I can take the heat, but can and will throw it tight back st you cheating rascals. If not for 18 years of cheating UNC would have only 1 title.

NEXT!!!

Issue with me putting Duke at 3 is their dependency on one coach. They were still relevant before K, but not a top 5-10 program.

KU has went through 3 coaches since 1985 in the same time period which is more impressive given the fact that the brand has maintained so well. Even Kentucky and UNC has significant dips in coaching changes while KU maintained at the highest level.

When Coach K has to step down for a few games Duke crumbled last year. When he retires, I just don’t see them hanging up there like they have been. They could be Indiana
I mean, why does this matter? Great, KU has had 3 coaches since '85, and maintained relevance. But you think its b/c of how good the program is----and not the coaches that were hired? If so, then explain our situation to me down here in Bloomington, Indiana. I'm sure UNC would love an explanation to on Doherty. UK as well on BCG, and Sutton. Kansas has just been fortunate to have made really good hires; Roy, then Self. The survival of a program lays in the hands of the HC. Not the previous head coaches.

Have you really never heard of Branch McCracken?

Rupp was labeled a racist because of things he said about blacks, not because of one damn game.

IMO, the three bluest of blue bloods are Kentucky, North Carolina, and UCLA. All have a rich tradition of cheating, so I don't understand why fans of one team would snipe at the other.

IU fan? Didn’t Kelvin Sampson get in trouble while he was there?

UNC has 1 violation that resulted in 1 year probation. Not really sure how that equals a rich tradition in cheating but continue on being a idiot.

LOL, hardly an IU fan. Sampson is guilty as hell and I was happy to see him lose painfully on a buzzer shot against Michigan. Why do you think I have an agenda when I'm just pointing out the obvious and chronicled account that Kentucky, UCLA, and UNC have cheated?

I do too, TBH. I think once he gets through a recruiting cycle, Indiana's gonna be a prblem again.

BTW---I'm a KU "fan". Always have been. Hated you mutherfvkers in '91 and '93 though.:D I'd love to see and IU/KU series. Our games were always good. Well, except the '91 game(eeek). Never forget the game at AFH. Bailey went nuts. Vaughn hits a dagger. Great fvcking CBB game.

Edit: In 1993 IU was 31-4. Two of those losses were to KU; 74-69. Then 83-77 in Reg. Final. Man the more I type, the less I am starting to "like" Kansas.:D

In the book Raw Recruits, written by Armon Keteyian, there's a story where Rupp called the NY Times, requesting that black players be printed in italic in the box scores so he wouldn't wast time recruiting them.
I believe there’s also a quote in a different book where he refers to blacks as coons & that he was being forced to start recruiting them.

You're aware of the recent account of academic fraud, aren't you? They wriggled off probation because the findings where that it was a university case of cheating and not just sports. In other words, it was deemed too horrific to be trivialized as mere NCAA violation.

I’m K-State but know what you’re talking about with those games.

Actually Indiana got KU’s number in 2016. Crean’s last year.

In other words NO violations occurred? There was never a ruling that said it was a university case of cheating.
The NCAA have no jurisdiction on the classes & tried to overstep their boundaries.

Meh----we did what IU teams under Crean done-------Won when we shot well. Nothing magical there.

No they didn't but keep doing what you're doing.

He did. The only time IU's been placed on probation. MOF, the only serious infractions.......like, ever. Aside from KS, Indiana's been a clean program.

My father in law graduated from IU. I’ve been to a few games there & absolutely love it there. Tons of respect for the IU program. Would love to see them back in top 10 year after year again.

May I ask which team you’re a fan of?
I go back to Loyola of Chicago when they won it all in 1963. That's always been my team. Totally overjoyed this year because I thought their days of being taken seriously were long over. I also greatly admire Gonzaga. Visited Spokane about 15 years ago and had a wonderful time. Those are my two rooting interests.

And you're an old fool, do some research.
Here's some quick research. Time for you to raid your medicine cabinet for a sedative.

"The N.C.A.A. did not dispute that the University of North Carolina was guilty of running one of the worst academic fraud schemes in college sports history, involving fake classes that enabled dozens of athletes to gain and maintain their eligibility.

"But there will be no penalties, the organization said, because no rules were broken."

Why are you so annoyed? UNC cheated. Ask Rashard McCants.
You can have your own opinion but if you’re going off McCants, then you’re totally off base.
You realize that McCants called going to UNC like being in prison? All he did was sleep, go to class, practice & play games, everyday was the same.
Amazing how his story changed when he was trying to sue UNC for money.

LOL, is that all you got? Your uneducated opinion is rather funny, when you mentioned McCants I knew it was your bedtime.

The official release from NCAA isn’t quiet worded like you said.

I mean, that is not what the NCAA said. That is what Marc Tracy said. Dude once won an award for blogging so good for him.
