Uh oh. Krzyzewski’s grandson and Paulo Banchero arrested for DUI

So who's the victim genius? Paolo, or is it kay's grandson or kay himself? You have no problem expressing your opinion on topics not related to duke but this shit breaks out and you act like no one can react to it. For someone who claims to be a grown ass man you sure get bent out of shape when someone throws shade at duke, why is that?
No one is a victim. They are all responsible for their own lives.

And please stop with that "bent out of shape" comment. Your panties go half way up your big intestine if UNc is mentioned on here.

I have thick skin. This thread proves you don't.

Bwaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaa. Suuuuurrrrreee you do.

You lose your mind every time duke is talked about on this forum. I'm sure you'll log off and cry it out, maybe punch your pillow or do something that kids do when they're angry. We all laugh at your punk ass because you're one that can dish it out but you can't take it. That's what losers do.

EFLAND, N.C. — Two Duke University basketball players were arrested on impaired driving-related charges over the weekend.
Court records show Michael Savarino was charged with driving while impaired and driving after consuming under the age of 21. Savarino, 20, is the grandson of Duke head men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzyewski. Police records also show he was cited with failure to yield at a stop sign or flashing red light.
Paolo Banchero, 19, faces a charge of aiding and abetting impaired driving. Banchero, a freshman, was one of the Class of 2021's most coveted recruits. He was voted as the preseason ACC Player of the Year and is expected to be picked early in the next spring's NBA Draft.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol Sgt. Chris Knox said Savarino was pulled over at a traffic stop at Bushy Cook Road and West Ten Road in rural Orange County just after 1 a.m. on Sunday.

WRAL's Sarah Krueger talks to legal experts about what's next for Duke players Paolo Banchero and Michael Savarino in light of Sunday's charges.
Documents obtained by WRAL News show that Savarino was driving Banchero's vehicle, a white Jeep, and admitted to the trooper that he had consumed "several shots." The trooper said the vehicle smelled of alcohol and noted that Savarino's eyes were red.

Savarino's blood alcohol content was .08, which is the level at which a driver is considered impaired under state law. He was released under a written promise to appear in court on Dec. 9, and his license was temporarily revoked.

.08 is above the limit, but barely. Maybe you account for the time it took to take the test and say he was at .10 when he got behind the wheel, but I think this will mitigate the penalty for Paolo compared to if the driver was say a .16 or something like that.

No. Just going to have dinner with my family.
And as I said before, you are the exact same.

The topic at dinner will be is kay going to give Paolo and his grandson a pass. You'll get mad, storm out and tell your family to take a Uber home.

To be fair, if K's grandson didn't drive instead of him it would be really questionable. Obviously it is really bad regardless but letting your star player drive after drinking instead of a guy who doesn't really impact the team would be silly.

Honestly, if Duke is smart they will say the grandson was the DD and wasn't supposed to drink but did anyway without anyone knowing about it. That doesn't explain why Paulo doesn't get dinged for underage drinking but would set him free of any real trouble.

Paulo should act like he is walking the line for a sobriety check every time he scores tonight.

Looking forward to the media throwing up softballs as usual to the golden coach after this game. No way he should be playing tonight.

Maybe he should run up and down the bleachers. That will teach him a lesson.

Did I say that? No. Damn, what a sensitive Sally you are. All I did was laugh at the first comments and who the poster roots for. Talk about needing to get a grip.
First comments was made by a Maryland fan...

You calling some sensitive is down right pure gold...Because if this were a UNC kid........

We punish bars that over serve people who later get in car accidents.
Which is also dumb as shit. Bartenders aren't babysitters and shouldn't be held responsible for the bad decisions of patrons once they leave the establishment. Furthermore, some people can be absolutely shitfaced but show no signs of it and act just as they do when they are sober. People also lie all the time and tell the bartender they have a ride coming, walk out the door and get into their own car.

Really a shame to see the Coach K empire fall in his last season...

Dreamworks is the company that did the 'Vette for Ruggs I think. Regardless, I don't really care if these kids are getting cars and money tbh.
