I’ve always thought it was interesting how self himself didn’t suspect Kentucky of any wrong doing. At least I think it’s reasonable to infer that from his omission of them.

You had to know in the back of your mind that this was coming. From what Avenatti says it's bigger than many think and several Top schools involved. You can add Under Armour into the mix as they are next. This is why in a earlier thread We Are Depaul and I said everyone is doing the same thing and it looks like well, everyone is about to go down with the already sinking ship.

We have former AAU coaches on record on YouTube saying that this happens everywhere. With detail. We have this text conversation insinuating the same. We have proof that Ayton and many other Nike players have taken serious money. We know that Zion’s dad had demands. We have an FBI list that includes many Nike schools and all the top dogs.

Im guessing these guys know who they are bidding against, right? They know who is offering and what is being offered. They are at the same events talking to the same players.
It would be nearly unbelievable if they all didn't know who the competition was.
They obviously know who the competition is, but I doubt they know what promises are being made by other schools in secret hotel room meetings.
I do believe some schools operate on the up and up. Michigan for instance. I have zero reason to believe John Beilein or his assistants are dirty. If that is the case, then why would they even recruit (Jalen Wilson) against other programs if they know those programs offer monetary incentives? Doesn't make sense. I believe schools, players, and handlers very much keep it a secret, and I highly doubt Adidas consultants know what Nike consultants are doing. Neither party wants a bidding war. That's stupid business logic.
They aren't calling each other or anything---but its not like the players/handlers aren't negotiated bt them and letting them know what the offer to beat is. Its not about being on the up and up with coaches. All coaches know it happens---but not all take part in it. Id bet most stay as far removed from it as possible or operate in a grey area where they are still insulated. This is happening to players that go to all schools, most of which the school has little to no idea its happening. I guarantee the nike guys know the adidas guys involved and vice versa. Also--I bet most assistants are involved than people would like to believe. Their job often depends on how well they recruit---the better they are at their job the more valuable they become. I would bet there are assistants out there doing all kinds of stuff the HC's don't know of or approve of.
Hell, I bet their are players that received money that didn't even request it.
They must have been really careful with their payments to the Bagleys and the Williamsons. I am waiting on Carter Paige to break those stories.

I do have a problem with people mentioning UNC and continually ignoring what was said about them not being a willing party like other programs were. You posted the bit were Self ignorantly threw in UNC. I responded to that.

I think there are all sorts of kids who take money from boosters. I think it is reasonable coaches aren't sure who does and doesn't. I think often the kids know little about it as well tbh. It is the family and handlers, though I wouldn't blame a kid at all for taking money. However, I'm not the one throwing around accusations to any specific program either.
